It's been a long day and an even longer week. Working two doubles in a week can really take a toll on you, but I'm happy I have the weekend off. It's my first weekend off in months. FINALLY.
Don't get me wrong I love my job. I work at a bakery and it's like my second home. I've been working at Kali Kakes for a little over a year now. The pay is awesome and I'm one of their best bakers.
I love Kali Kakes, but this weekend will be sweeter than any dessert I could ever make. I'm so ready to just sleep in. Maybe curl up with a good book.
After a long relaxing bubble bath. I make some sleepy time tea. I grab the newest book from my bookshelf. Sitting comfy on the couch.

Before I can open the book. My phone starts to ring. I look at my phone to see that Ali wants to face time. When I answer the call I see my three best friends. Ali, Chloe, and Destiny. They're all dressed up and are obviously going out.
"WHY AREN'T YOU DRESSED?" Destiny screamed. Damn girl.
Destiny is the power house in our squad. Chloe is a bit more laid back. Making Ali somewhat bougie.
I show them my set up immediately. "Y'all I know y'all want me to come, but not tonight. Tomorrow night definitely, but not tonight." I said yawning a little.
They all nodded. They understood that I need tonight for myself. So instead they talked about tomorrow night.
"You better be ready to turn up tomorrow," Ali said. "Yeah, I wanna see some drunk twerking tomorrow." Chloe chimes in and said. She knows better to say drunk twerking because I would never do it sober.
Five Minutes later I tell them that my tea is getting cold. Follow by my phone minutes aren't free. "Girl please," Ali says. They laughed knowing damn well no one pays for minutes anymore. "Goodnight y'all."
"Bye Moe! " They say ending our call.
Now back to Under a painted sky.
The book is so exciting and interesting. I find myself crying at some parts and laughing at others. Before I know it I'm finished.
I check the time at 12:43 a.m. Well, I better go to bed if I expect to hang out with my party animals tonight. I clean up my living room then head upstairs to bed.
Hello, bed I've missed you. I crawl into bed. Soon I'm under a sea of warmth fast asleep.
