CHAPTER 15

"I was looking all over for you. Sinabi nina Pres na pinahanap niya raw ako sa'yo but when I got back, you were the one missing. Where did you go, sweetie?"

Suspicious. Definitely suspicious.

Hindi ba dapat concerned ka? Hindi ba dapat mukha ka man lang nag-aalala? Then why is this guy smiling like a creep?

Makes me think na may kinalaman na naman siya sa nangyari sa akin.

It's plausible, I tell you. And I wouldn't even be surprised kung totoo nga ang hinala ko.

His expression on his face right now is like a child who did something mischievous. Pero imbes na magmukhang guilty ito sa ginawa ay para bang wala itong pake.

The sparkle in his eyes and the grin on his face tell me so. He looked conceited. Confident, even. Like he knows it in his bones that it's impossible for me to know whatever he did.

Oh, man. I really am so pissed as hell. The more furious I got, the wider my smile became. Nangangalay na nga ang panga ko sa lawak ng pagkakangiti ko dito pero hindi ko yun pinansin. I swear Imma get to the bottom of this.

And to think that I unconsciously stayed back for this guy. Tsk.

Adrian took a seat next to me and rested his chin on his upturned hand.

"You look tired, sweetie. Iuuwi na kita, gusto mo?" he muttered, a romantic nuance evident in his tone.

"Sure. Let me finish this whole cake first though."

"Want me to help you? I don't really like sweet stuff but if it's for you then I can do anything."

Blergh! Muntik na akong masuka sa sinabi nito.

Saang kalye niya ba napulot ang banat na 'yon? Nakakasuka. Mas malala pa ata ito kay Krieg.

I bit my lower lip to stop myself from guffawing. Ang resulta naman ay maiyak-iyak ako sa pagpipigil ng tawa.

"Aww...sweetie. Why I being overboard with my actions? Sorry. I just like you too much."

Holy mother of kalandian and banat. Mangiyak-ngiyak na ako sa pagpipigil ng tawa dahil sa sinabi nito. Kung hindi ko lang alam ang tunay na kulay ng lalaking ito siguro nabighani na naman ako. That's how a good actor he is.

I can only shake my head as a response to his vomit-inducing words. To shut him up completely, I shoved a piece of my cake straight to his mouth, smiling as I did do.

"Help me finish this cake then, sweetness," sagot ko dito kalaunan.

I feel a sense of satisfaction when his beautiful face was marred with a frown and discomfort as he tried to swallow that huge chunk of cake I served him.

"Swallow lang gently, sweetie ha? Gusto mo pa ba? Oh, here comes the cake!" saad ko dito bago ipasok muli ang isang maliit na slice ng cake sa bibig nito.

Wala na itong nagawa sa bilis ng kamay ko. I saw him tear up as that cake went into his mouth again. He blocked his mouth with both hands and looked at me accusingly. I can also see his eyes tear up a bit but I pretended not to notice.

"Gusto mo pa ba? I have a whole cake right here with me. Pinagtabi ako ni Trixie. She's so sweet don't you think?"

Adrian bobbed his head up and down like a robot.

"Finish this cake for me, sweetie. Kakausapin ko lang si Krieg saglit sa labas. Pagbalik ko dapat ubos mo na yan ha? Kundi magtatampo ako sa'yo. You said it yourself, you'd do anything for me. SO finish it, okay? I'll give you a reward later."
