Secret meeting and a sprinkle of love

Start from the beginning

"Kid Fash B03"

"The Wall-man is here! Now let's get this party star-" I triped over my equipment when I thought I saw Artemis. I really missed her. She has been the sole subject on my mind since I met her. "-Ted" I finished. I looked up as my ball bounced in between Batman and Red Tornado.

"Wall-man, huh? I love the costume. What exactly are your powers?" Asked a familiar voice. Artemis. I stood up hastily and searched the room for the owner of the voice. My eyes landed on Artemis and my eyes brightened. She looked even prettier than before even if she was in the same attire. She must have recognised me too even without the costume on. She backed up a few steps, her eyes frantic, searching for an exit.

"Artemis. It's okay. I won't tell them." The others looked at me in confusion.

"You know Artemis?" Asked Robin.

"You won't tell us what?" Followed Aqualad.

"How do you know each other?" Glared Superboy.

"I totally ship Artally!" Screamed Miss Martian. All movement ceased but all eyes were on M'gann.

"Artally?" I asked.

"Ya! It's your ship name!"

"Whatever. I'm leaving." Stated Artemis, while rolling her eyes.

"No!" I ran and blocked her path. "Stay. Please?"

"I can't, not with you here."

"Artemis, please I promised already. Don't leave. Be on the team."

She hesitated, "fine."

"Yes!" I pumped my fist in the air and all the commotion started again.

"Who is Artemis?"

"How did you convince her not to leave?

" why did you convince her not to leave?"

"Awww, you guys are do cute together!"

We glanced at M'gann then went back to talking. During the havoc, Artemis and I sneaked out together and we sat on the doc, looking over the water.

"Is he your dad?" I asked softly.

"Yes."  She looked at me. "You know one of my secrets its only fair I know one of yours."

"um, my secret identity is Wally West." I paused, "how about we trade secrets? I tell you a secret and you tell me one and we keep going."

She shrugged then continued, "my secret identity is Artemis Crock."

"Um..." I couldn't think of anything else.

"Uh..." She couldn't either.

"I like you." We both blurted out after the long silence. We looked at each other and laughed. I laughed so hard I fell into the water. As I was falling, I held her hand and pulled her with me. We laughed and I couldn't help but appreciate how perfect this moment was. Laughing with the girl of my dreams. I climbed back onto the dock and pulled Artemis up after me. I sat her on my lap and held her hand. She was shivering and I wrapped my arms around her, kissing the top of her head. She looked up at me with those sparkling silver eyes and I leaned down, my lips making contact with hers. And I smiled, because everything was perfect at that moment.

*two months later*

I put the helmet of fate neatly on the shelf, taking a step back, putting my hands on my hips and looking it over, proudly.

Artemis cleared her throat behind me. "you never said what happened to you when you put on the helmet," I turned to see Artemis leaning against the doorway, dressed beautifully.

I shrugged, "energy from the thing re-wrote my brains betawaves, I was bioscripted into becoming Dr. fate for a few minutes, no big."

"Wait," she frowned, "you're still coming there's no such thing as magic?" She scoffed, "if that's how you feel, why keep it at all?"

I shrugged again, "souvenir!" I smiled cheekily.

Get your ownn little spitfire, one who won't let you get away with nothing. Kent's last sentence rang through my head, echoing and repeating itself over and over again.

M'gann flew past the room but halted when she saw me and Artemis. "I totally ship Spitfire!" She exclaimed.

Artemis stormed after her, "what!?!"

"It's your ship name!" M'gann's voice rang around the cave. I smiled. Spitfire. I like it. But I like Artemis even more, in fact, I love Artemis. More than life itself. Because she's my little spitfire.
