Welcome to Triple A Interviews! Each month, our team selects one writer on the aromantic and/or asexual spectrum to interview about their writing.
In the past, we've primarily scouted our interviewees by looking for people who self-identify as being on either spectrum in their Wattpad bio, comments on stories, or in Wattpad-related Discord servers. However, while this has allowed us to build a list of people we could potentially interview, we realized we were missing an opportunity for interested writers to volunteer themselves to be interviewed. That's why we created our brand new application form!
See the in-line comment here to access the form ->
Here's an FAQ about our interviews and how we select interviewees:
Who is eligible to be interviewed?
Anyone who is old enough to have a Wattpad account (i.e., people who are at least 13 years old), adheres to Wattpad's content guidelines, and self-identifies as being on the aromantic and/or asexual spectrum.
What if I don't have any aromantic or asexual characters?
That's totally fine! We understand that not all aro or ace people write about characters who share their identity. We do ask if writers have any stories with characters on either spectrum since we especially love spotlighting such stories, but that is by no means a requirement.
Regardless of whether or not your characters share your identity, your writing and perspective are still greatly valued <3
Do I have to have many followers or reads to be interviewed?
Nope! We love interviewing a variety of people ranging from authors with established followings to those who are just starting out.
Will I be penalized if I don't answer the optional questions on the interview form?
Nope! Those questions are just there to help us get to know you and your stories a little better, which makes it easier for us to come up with interview questions.
What kinds of questions can I expect to be asked as part of the interview?
In addition to the usual questions about how you started writing and stuff like that, we love personalizing our interviews! Every single interviewee will be asked at least a couple unique questions specifically tailored to them.
If there's anything you'd especially love for us to ask you about, make sure you tell us in your application!
How will the questions be provided to me?
We usually provide the questions via Discord DMs, Google Docs, or on the author's Conversations board, whichever the author prefers. We're open to using other methods if desired, though.
When can I expect to hear back about my application?
We'll reach out to you if you've been selected to participate in our next interview. Since we only do one interview per month, this means it might be a while before you hear back from us. People who do not qualify to receive an interview will not hear back from us.
If you'd like us to confirm whether we received your application, feel free to drop us a comment, and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
What should I do if I'm having trouble accessing the application form?
Drop us a comment, and we can send you the form's questions to you on Wattpad. We prefer to use the Google Form to help keep our submissions nice and tidy, but we understand that technical difficulties may occur.
Do you have any other questions? Comment them here ->
As always, stay awesome <3
