Chapter 2: Curiosity

~Lucy's POV~

The mysterious man let go of my chin, and turned around. He put his hands in his jean pockets and started to walk away.  With my jaw ajar, I watched him disappear from my eyesight. What just happened?

I shook my head in disbelief. I continued to walk towards the doors of the school. I was still receiving multiple states and glares.

As soon as I entered the building, a sigh of relief escaped my mouth. I made it past the gigantic student body. I wiped my face with my hands, removing the little amount of sweat from my temples.

"Hi! Are you Lucy?" I jumped at the unexpected question. I laid my hand over my heart, trying to calm my choppy breathes.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you!!" A bluenette asked me. She was wearing an orange jumper, and was at least a foot shorter than me.

"I'm Lucy, are you scheduled to show me around the school?" I asked politely, smiling from her kindness.
"Yes! I'm Levy Mcgarden, nice to meet you." She extended her hand, and I shook it graciously.

"Nice to meet you as well!" I said slightly tilting my head as I smiled.
"Shall I give you a tour?" I nodded as she took my hand. "Come on!" She cheered as she dragged me forward. She may be small, but damn she was strong.

Levy showed me around the whole school. The gym was huge, and there was also a pool! The football field and soccer field were also connected. The classrooms seemed to be very nice, lockers lined each of their doors.

As soon as we got to the library, I gasped.

"The library is my favorite place to hang out. I know, nerd alert." She said looking down, obviously embarrassed.
"I love reading! It's one of my favorite pass times," I said as I shook my head.

Levy's eyes grew to a huge size, she looked so excited.
"Really?!" She was so cute. I nodded and we walked inside the gigantic collection of books. It was a two story library. A whole reading and quiet section was reserved on the second floor.

I stared in awe as my eyes darted over every corner of the room.
"It's beautiful," I mumbled quietly.
"I know right? I actually work here after school. It's quite nice," she said as she patted the librarians desk.
"Got any openings?" I asked through a laugh.

"Yes, we actually are looking for another worker. Are you interested?" I instantly nodded my head, scanning my fingers across the seams of nearby books. "Great! I'll let the head librarian know, and get back to you. We might even work together!" She said cheerfully.

We explored the library a little, but then had to go to class. We had already missed half the day with the principal's permission. After lunch, I went to my next class. Fortunately, Levy was in my class! We headed to English sharing information about ourselves, as well as laughing.

As we took our seats, students started filing in. I saw another bluenette take a seat next to Levy. It was kind of awkward how everyone was talking with each other, except for me.

I saw a red head, Gray walked in as well. I rolled my eyes as Loki entered. He of course took a seat right next to me. A few other students walked in, then a certain pink haired boy walked in.

He had a cigarette in his mouth.
"Excuse me Mr. Dragneel, no smoking on campus." He shrugged and tucked his cigarette in his pocket. He took a seat in the far back corner. I tried to catch his attention, but he didn't notice me. I nudged Levy and leaned towards her.

"Who is that pink haired guy?" I whispered quietly. She lowered her voice, making sure that no one heard us.

"His name is Natsu Dragneel. He is basically the biggest heart throb, but no one seams to know anything about him." She shrugged and turned around to talk to a boy with multiple piercings in his face.

I snuck a glance back at Natsu. He was staring out the open window, obviously zoning out. He was extremely mysterious, and that interested me.

Natsu. It has a nice ring to it.
