He pushed open the ancient doors.
A deep groan echoed through the empty halls.
"Hello?"
No answer.
Only silence.
He smiled.
"Perfect."
His footsteps echoed between endless shelves.
Thousands of books surrounded him.
Yet something felt...
Different.
As if the Archive itself had been waiting.
At the center of the grand hall stood a pedestal.
Upon it rested a single book.
Black.

Untouched by time.
Kael reached toward it.
