ECLIPSE ASCENDANT
Chapter 30: Eclipse
The moon disappeared.
Darkness spread across the heavens as the seven beams of light converged into a single eclipse.
No storm followed.
No thunder.
Only silence.
The kind of silence that existed before the first page of history was ever written.
---
Across the world...
Every Bearer stopped.
Every Tower awakened.
Every forgotten ruin began to glow.
It was as if the world itself had remembered a name it had tried to forget.
---
At the summit of the White Tower...
Kael stood beside Lyra.
The cold wind carried the scent of snow and ancient stone.
The Abyss Codex floated before him.
Its pages no longer turned wildly.
They moved...
Slowly.
Calmly.
As if the Archive itself had accepted what was about to happen.
---
The First Jailer looked toward the eclipse.
Five chains still bound him.
But they had begun to crack.
"The Second Cycle..."
"...has returned."
For the first time...
He smiled.
Not because he was free.
Because hope had returned.
---
Far away...
The Unknown Author stood alone.
The False Chronicle rested in silent hands.
For centuries...
The crimson book had obeyed every command.
Now...
It refused to open.
The Author closed weary eyes.
"So..."
"Even you have chosen."
The crimson quill crumbled into ash.
Scattered by the wind.
---
Inside the White Tower...
Aestra approached Kael one final time.
"The Archive has one last gift."
She placed a weathered parchment into his hands.
It contained no map.
No prophecy.
Only one sentence.
> **"The final page has never been written."**
Kael frowned.
"What does this mean?"
