Eventually the train halted and I clutched my backpack, suitcase, and purse before we loaded out and many boatds awaited us. Luna lead me to one and we sat down as it gently rocked. The boats took off and we arrived back on land, making our way up a steep set of stairs.
"You'll have to go with the first-years to be sorted." Luna informed. I nod as we reach the main hall. Luna heads to the back and I take my seat with the first-years and everyone including the non first-years received large and delicious looking dinner. The boy beside me was dark haired and wore braces, he looks up at me,
"Aren't you a little old to be a first-year like me?"
"I came from Merlins Academy and have to be sorted." He nods and stuffs his mouth with turkey. When everyone finishes, an older looking woman with grey hair arrives at the front of the hall and all heads shift to look at her.
"Hello, everyone! Today is a very special day for the first-year students for they will be sorted into their house in which they will be for these seven years. Either you will be a Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Slytherin, or Hufflepuff. Shall we begin?" She palces a hat on a stool and begins calling names. Eventually the boy with the braces goes up and places the hat on his head excitedly. His name just happened to be Elijah Altis. The hat thought for a few seconds which weired me out for Merlins was never this odd. We never possessed magical creatures or monsters, just spells and muggle like things.
"Gryffindor." The hat spoke, suddenly making me terrified to wear it. Eventually after a long list of students, my name was called. I trailed to the stool and sat down before nervously placing the hat over my flat chocolate colored hair. My eyes shifted to Draco, the Slytherin boy. I prayed in my mind over and over not to become Slytherin and the hat did me a favor,
"Ravenclaw!"
