Chapter 2: School!!!!

Ch. 2 School!!!!

     Jiyeon was bursting with happiness that she was finally taking the steps towards achieving her dreams. But looking at her face, you couldn't tell so Sunmi asked her, "Hey - are you okay?" "Yeah - I'm fine, why?" Jiyeon asked. Sunmi narrowed her eyes at her friend and shrugged, "I don't know - you seem out of it - imo..."

     She just laughed at Sunmi and said, "Come on, you've got to come with me to the office" So both girls headed inside.

     Jiyeon and Minwoo finished going over the 'contract' but not without her bargaining for every detail. When he was finally satisfied he said, "I hope you do well Jiyeon" Jiyeon started to tear up but held back her tears and said, "I won't disappoint you Dad..."

     When they got back from Japan, Jiyeon pestered her mom about transferring so Taehee freed her calendar so that she could enroll at a high school which specializes in the performing arts. There was a bit of a hassle since it was a sudden decision to transfer so her papers were a bit delayed - but with that minor detail taken cared of, mother and daughter went uniform shopping.

     Jiyeon didn't care for being fashionable so much; and it was evident in today's outfit. She always rolled her eyes when Taehee asked her to wear dresses for formal events. She wore black jeans today, yellow espadrilles and a blue Peanuts t-shirt that said "It's okay I'm with the Band"; at least an assorted collection of string bracelets matched her shirt.

     Taehee just sighed and hope to heaven that Jiyeon was just going through a phase. For all her ignorance to fashion, Jiyeon looked surprisingly good in a uniform. They were in a fancy boutique that catered to wealthier clientele. Taehee looked at the yellow S.O.P.A. uniform and stopped herself from grimacing. She didn't like the color although to be fair - the design was pretty. She asked Jiyeon as she was changing, "Tell me again Jiyeon, why did you choose the School of Performing Arts- there are other schools which also offer special classes - besides - their uniforms are better than this- this yellow thing..."

     Jiyeon's answer was muffled, as if she was struggling, "I told you, it'll be easier for me to adjust since Sunmi and Minho go there..." Taehee just sighed and said, "Fine, will you really be okay?" Jiyeon replied, "I will be fine Mom - I'm done!"

     Jiyeon went out and even Taehee was shocked. The SOPA uniform hugged Jiyeon's 5"2' frame perfectly. The sleeves made her arms look longer and the pleated skirt gave an appearance of longer legs. She huffed and said, "Ugh - why can't I grow taller?" Taehee has had many conversations just like this one with Jiyeon that she just said, "You're still growing - stop fidgeting! Let me see better!" Jiyeon tried to pull her skirt down but her mom slapped her hand away. "You look amazing! Now let's buy some shoes..." Jiyeon sighed and allowed her mom to drag her away.

     Jiyeon came to school early since she lived far away. She wanted to check out the school since she wasn't able to roam around so much when she was applying to transfer; besides she was also quite nervous while preparing her audition piece.

     She thought about Jungkook and regretted that she didn't have his number - not that she'd ask him for it! - but still, she sighed as she stood under a tree in the grounds. 'How is he doing?' she thought. 

      Suddenly she felt someone watching her so she snapped her head towards one of the school buildings but she didn't see anybody. So she turned away and looked for Sunmi.
