You jump, I jump; Bard x reader

 "He hit it! He hit the dragon!" One of the dwarves called out. 

 "No" said Tauriel. 

 "He did! He hit his mark I saw it!" 

 "His arrows cannot pierce it's hide. I fear nothing will". It was then we passed the statue of the Master where I saw the boat that I had hid the black arrow just awhile ago. I looked towards Bard on the tower who was probably down to his last arrow and knew what I had to do. 

 If Bard dies, I die with him. 

 Noticing a grappling hook just above me, I stood up and grabbed it and swung myself over to the docks as the dwarves and my kids all cried out for me to come back but as soon as I landed on the docks I kept running for the boat. I threw away the fishing nets and took the black arrow into my hand and took off running for the bell tower. 

 Dodging flames and falling houses in my path hoping I would get to my bargeman in time. 

 Though I now bare ash marks and inhaled much smoke and felt a flame or two lick across my face and clothes, I still pushed on till I finally reached the bell tower and ran up the stairs till I finally reached Bard. 

 "Bard!" He turned to me and immediately pulled me into a kiss before shouting at me inbetween our intense kisses. 

 "(Y/n)! You're so stupid! Why didn't you leave?! You're so stupid (y/n)! Why didn't you leave!? You were suppose to leave with the kids! Why aren't you with them!? Why?!" 

 "You jump, I jump, remember?" When we were kids that saying got us through a lot of stuff. Whether one of us was down or too stubborn to leave the other behind, 

 It was our saying of that we would always be together. No matter what. 

 Bard smiled softly and said. 

 "Yes". We kissed one last time before tightly embracing each other as I sobbed to him repeatedly saying that I couldn't leave him and he kept assuring me that he and I were now together. 

 And if so then we die together. 

 We separated from each other and I showed him the black arrow. He placed his hand over mine and said. 

 "(Y/n), no matter what happens you stay near me understand?" 

 "I do". I looked behind him to see Smaug flying towards the bell tower with his back legs extended outward. I exclaimed his name and pushed him down as Smaug grabbed the top of the tower and ripped it off exposing Bard. He cried out my name after not seeing me and I cried out his. 

 I was now dangling by one hand off the side of the tower still gripping the black arrow with my other hand. 

 Bard quickly pulled me up and set me down on the floorboard while I was frozen with fear. 

 He then stood in front of me holding the black arrow in a protective, challenging stance as Smaug now landed on top of the burning city and took notice of my husband. 

 "Who are you!? That would stand against me!" Smaug snarled. Bard went for his bow only to see that it had broke in the aerial attack. 

 Bard was completely defenseless. 

 "Now that is a pity, what will you do now, Bowman? You are forsaken! No help will come". Smaug slowly crept forward towards us. His eyes blazed with fire glowing with hatred, until he set his eyes on me. 

 "Is that your mate?" I sat up in fear as I couldn't take my eyes off this fearsome beast. Bard turned to me worriedly then back at Smaug as he continued to say as he continued to slowly stalk toward us, "you cannot save her from the fire, she. Will. BURN!!!"
