Odessa's POV
Christian really stepped up his game, picking me up at exactly 8 pm and sending a stunning red maxi dress to my place at 6 pm. I loved it, and I'm sure it was made just for me. The ride to the restaurant was wholesome, filled with laughter, good conversation, and comfortable silences.
When we arrived, I was relieved to see familiar faces - Maria, Lincoln's girlfriend, Petra, and Adele. It could've been awkward meeting the entire basketball team and their girls, but this was perfect.
As the night went on, I caught Christian's gaze on me, and it didn't feel uncomfortable. It was like he was genuinely interested in me.
After Lincoln left, we decided to grab ice cream. Christian was a good sport, trying my favorite flavor and rating it an 8 out of 10.
But the real question is, will I be his girlfriend for real? He asked, and I played it cool, saying "maybe."
The night ended with a playful exchange over my scrunchie, which he's now holding hostage, demanding a kiss in return. I'm not giving in that easily, though.
