Odessa's POV
It's lunch time and I have been successful in avoiding Christian. I am in physics cause I got permission from the teacher to be here but I know this won't be able to last long because we have the last period together. My alone time did not last cause when I looked up from my phone he was standing right in front of me.
'Avoiding me I see' he says. 'I was really busy today' I lied. 'You mean you've been busy avoiding me. From your first two periods you went to the back of the library where you know no one goes or checks there and buried your face in your book. Then right now you are in class during lunch not even assisting the teacher or learning and you expect me to believe you were busy? Busy with what Des?' he asks. Is he mad at me?
How does he know what I've been doing the entire time? He looks and sounds calm which makes him more intimidating. 'I uhmm' I didn't know what to say as he tilts his head waiting for me to speak. 'Okay fine I was avoiding you' I said finally giving up on telling a lie. 'Embarassed to be seen hanging out with me?' he asks. 'Glad you got the memo' I said. 'Well I told everyone one on the team we're dating soo..... It's already too late.' he says and I freeze. 'You did what?' I ask in disbelief. 'Christian.' 'Hmm?'. 'This is not the time for jokes or games' I tell him. 'Well good thing I'm being serious before you have my head'. He says.
'You said that'll be next week' I remind him. 'Punishment for avoiding me' I sink into my chair thinking about my life decisions. 'Well you can thank me now' he says. 'For what?' I ask. 'I was just toying with you I didn't tell them anything' He admits. I stare at him blankly and he stares back. 'These next two weeks are going to be a living hell for me isn't it?' I ask him. 'It won't because you'll be with me'. I am fighting the urge not to roll my eyes right this second. 'Lunch time is almost over so let me walk you to class' he said getting up and I had no choice but to follow his lead. He held my hand as we exited the class and the number of eyes on us made me self conscious. 'Welcome to my world babe' he says.
'Pretty suffocating' I tell him. 'You haven't seen anything yet' 'But it gets better' he adds. 'Does it?' I ask. 'No it doesn't' he says looking down at me chuckling. I rolled my eyes but could feel the corner of my lips tilting up just a little bit. 'Alright see you soon babe' he says as we approach the entry to English class. 'Never call me that again' I say as I turn to escape his hold on my hand to not draw any more attention. 'You're not going to give me a kiss?' he asks as he pulls me back towards him.
My entire face was red from embarrassment. 'Christian it's only they first day' I said shyly cause I could feel all eyes on me. He smirked and let me go and I rushed to sit next to Tiana who was staring daggers at me like she had a million questions to ask. This is going to be a long day.
She guessed that he won and I spilled everything that happened today till present time. Thankfully the teacher didn't show up so we didn't get into trouble. The whole time I was speaking to Tiana of what my next class was going to be like. What would he do then? English is over and it's time to go to my next class 'Chemistry'. I am dreading going to that class maybe I can skip. No, I'm not going to let some guy mess up my streak of attending class. 'Odessa' I heard Tiana say pulling me out of my train of thought. 'It's going to be fine what's the worst thing that could happen?' she asks. 'Actually you are right what's the worst thing that could happen' I say getting up and exiting the class with Tiana. She looks at me and leaves me alone only to see Christian waiting for me.
