night fall came and the ship was freezing dagger was shivering. after her nap she went back out and joined the guys they noticed how bundled she was "are you cold?" marco asked she nodded hesitantly "i thought you grew up on a inter island don't you guys build up resistance to the cold or something?" thatch asked  thatch received a look from marco that said are you kidding did you seriously just ask that kind of look "w..well most of us do but I never really went outside m..much" she stuttered through the cold "look at her  she's freezing marco do something" jozu said marco laughed before gesturing for her to sit on is lap she hesitated before obliging she relaxed as he quickly warmed her up "thank you" she mumbled "anytime dagger" he said  she smiled a bit "so how come you never went outside?" he asked she paused and bit her lip well  grew up in a noble household" they all gasped in shock "my father was a noble man and so was my mother they had strict rules that I was to stay in and study all day s I studied away most of my life but the second they expected me to marry some sleaze kid when I was 10 I ran away from home and became an assassin" she said quietly looking down "but that led me here 9 years later so in a way i'm kinda glad cause I got to meet all you guys" she said with a smile they all smiled back "were glad to have met you too kiddo" jozu said making her giggle a bit she felt marco's arms wrap around her waist pulling her back to lean on him she relaxed again as the conversation continued until everyone decided it would be best that they go to bed dagger was curled up in her blankets freezing she sighed after an hour passes and sat up she swung her feet over the side of the bed her legs froze instantly since she was wearing shorts she stood up her feet touching the cool floor it sent a shock up her spine she remembered ace saying that if she needed anything than to go see him so she id she went to his room pausing before another chill ran up her back she knocked on the door and heard a loud groan "what?" his voice said "uh ace" she said through the door "come in" he replied she slowly opened the door and stepped inside shutting it behind her the silver moon shone through the window she scratched the back of her neck awkwardly "what's wrong?" he asked she bit her lip feeling another chill run up her spine making her shiver she noticed ace looking at her with concern "i.i'm freezing do you think i could sleep with you tonight?" she asked hugging herself he looked at her "why don't you ask marco?" he asked she frowned "because you told me if I needed anything come to you" she said she watched a smirk crawl onto his lips and he moved over "come on" he said lifting the side of his blanket she walked over quickly "thank you" she whispered he nodded "anytime your cold come to me first I can warm you up aster than pineapple" he said putting his arms around her as soon as her icy skin connected with is he looked at her worried " you freezing why didn't you come to me sooner?" he asked she bit her lip leaning into his chest "i was thinking about what to do I didn't exactly want to bother you" she mumbled she felt aces chest vibrate against her as he laughed "goodnight dagger" he said quietly losing his eyes "goodnight ace" she whispered cuddling into him she felt his grip tighten a little before she fell asleep. a couple weeks went by since then and dagger had gotten really close with ace, marco, izo, jozu and thatch dagger and thatch would quarrel sometime and get into fist fights but they were usually pulled apart and separated today the two were wrestling each other in an argument about cards once again "how long have they been going at it?" someone asked marco "about 5 minutes" he said standing up "all right you two I know you can't keep your little hands away from each other but were approaching an island" marco said "marco please don't eve joke about that it's just wrong in so many ways" she said thatch glared at her it made her laugh she punched thatch in the jaw knocking him off of her and she stood up brushing herself off  before turning to face the island that was rapidly approaching she heard the sound of thatches heavy footsteps running towards her and she dodged him just as the ship rocked heavily knocking her over and directly towards the sea "dagger!" she heard a few people shout she felt the cold water isolate her body as she began to sink into the ocean she crossed her arms and sighed inwardly "stupid devil fruit" she thought she looked up and saw a shadow swimming towards her just as she ran out of breath she reached up and felt them clasp her hand just as she lost consciousness she woke up soaked in sea water laying on the deck she sat up quickly a little too quickly she grabbed her head and winced as she waited for the head rush to die down "are you ok?" she heard ace's voice beside her she looked at him and nodded "i'm fine" she said ace glared towards thatch "wow ace if looks could kill" marco said making dagger giggle "ace tried to jump in after you ya know" marco said she watched as ace's cheek tinted pink "we had to hold him back ad send thatch to save you" marco added dagger looked at ace he wouldn't meet her gaze he stood up and held out a hand to help her up which she took with a smile standing up she saw they were docked "alright guys lets go restock" marco ordered people to go get stuff "oi dagger go with ace and pick up some booze" marco said she saluted him "aye aye commander marco" she said he chuckled shaking his head before he continued to bark out orders dagger walked up to ace and linked her arm with his "what're you doing?" he asked "making sure we don't get separated" she said he looked at her and shook his head "what would you  rather hold my hand?" she asked she watched his face tint red "oi are you ok? you've gotten red" she teased he shook his head letting out a low growl before continuing walking into the town she could tell he was upset about something she couldn't place her finger on what it was though. when they came back dagger was called over by marco as soon as she left ace's side his aura grew dark she looked at him and frowned she sighed angrily brushing her hair back a thing she only did when she was angry or upset "what's wrong dagger?" he asked she sighed exaggeratedly "ace is what's wrong he's beginning to piss me off" she said "what'd he do?" marco asked gesturing for her to sit she sat down glancing over her shoulder at him "he's been cold and grumpy all the time and he wont tell me what's wrong he keeps saying you know what's wrong I'd hate to lose my temper on him" she said with a sad sigh as she ran her fingers through her hair again before looking down a bit "maybe that's what you're going to have to do" he said she nodded "alright so what was it you wanted?" she asked "nothing I just noticed you looked a little depressed" he said she nodded before going up to the crows nest using her daggers walk across the air to the top of the back mast she laid down of it relaxing a bit before she placed her hands on her face she was torn between what she should do she stayed up there for the rest of the day she didn't come down for lunch or dinner people would call her and she'd just wave her hand a bit she stayed there for the night as well she was still laying there when marco woke up the next morning "i wonder what's wrong" someone asked "she must be really thinking about something huh?" izo asked standing next to marco they watched as she suddenly stood up and began pacing back and fourth thinking she stopped and crouched grapping her face in frustration they heard a loud sigh she stood up a little to quickly and fell backward off the mast "shit!" she shouted dropping backwards she felt someone catch her before she hit the ground she looked up to see ace looking at her shocked "thanks" she muttered before jumping out of his arms and going into the ship she walked into the kitchen where she saw thatch with a few others walking around cooking and such "oh look who finally came down" thatch said teasing "shut up thatch I'm not in the mood" she said in a low growl as she sat up on one of the counters "it's not like I came down by choice I slipped" she said thatches eyes widened "Are you ok?" he asked she nodded "fine ace caught me" she mumbled thatch chuckled "is that what you've been up there thinking about?" he asked she shrugged "i'm so confused as to why he's so mad at me" she said grabbing on her hair "did you ask him?" thatch asked tossing her an apple knowing it was why she came in there she nodded taking a bit "thanks and yes he just responded nothing you know what's wrong and I really don't" she said slowly eating away at the apple she was holding  thatch stroked the hair on his chin thinking "exactly my point" she said he shrugged "anyway i'm going to go take a bath see you later" he said throwing the apple core in the garbage before going to the bath after a long needed bath she went to her room se laid on her bed thinking once again.
