Chapter 7: Telling the Truth
1 week later
Alex's PoV
It's 1:00 AM. I can't sleep. I have to tell my dad, he's visiting today, maybe he can just get some of Marie's blood.
That's all he does, I don't know if that shit Marie was talking about was just something her mind made up, it can't be true.
I hear a knock on my. Rubbing my eyes I yell, "Coming."
When I open the door I am greeted with a smiling face, "Dad! I wasn't expecting you this late, come in, come in!"
Before entering he wraps me in a big hug. "Son, I've missed you." Picking up his bags he walks in.
Moving in front of him I smile and road him to my guest bedroom.
"If you don't mind son, I'll just sleep for a bit and then we can catch up." He says sitting down on the bed.
"Sure dad, I'm going to sleep as well actually."
*Cockerel crows* 10:00 AM that morning
As I trudged into the kitchen I observed the strange sight of my father opening his bag and pulling out a gun. After pulling out this gun he raised it and peered down the sights, afterwards proceeding to place it gently back into his bag.
Shaking my head I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a bagel I had bought yesterday.
Sitting on a barstool my dad came and joined me.
"Hey kiddo, how'd you sleep?"
"Fine dad, listen... I have to tell you something. It's really important." I put my bagel down on the island.
His brow furrowed, "What do you have to tell me." He didn't say it like a question.
I let out a breath. "The girl I was dating, Marie, we broke up a few weeks ago. The- the reason we broke up was because our personal lives clashed, and she told me lies I couldn't imagine."
I noticed dad's nostrils flaring. "Basically I discovered she was the last, the last, the last Faerperson."
Dad glared at me. "Why do you think this crazy thing?"
I knew he wouldn't believe me. "She has violet highlighted hair, she has violet eyes, she has light purple skin. No human looks like that dad."
He gritted his teeth. "You're right. Just son, whatever she told you about the UFBC is a lie."
I nodded and smiled a little.

Sorry I was at a party pretty much all day yesterday so I didn't get a chance to update.
I don't really have anything to say.
