Just across the street, Von's car came into view and parked in his parking spot. Will exited the car to meet Kelly, who was standing in front of his parked car. Kelly, before she started working for Will, was a stay at home mother of two, who loves to overpack. Gave him the keys to his car.
Kelly and Will met Von at the back of the car as Von opened the trunk. They continued to talk as Will grabbed his bags and walked over to his parked Ford Mustang Mach-E.
"So, I was thinking about what you asked." Donna mentioned.
"And?" Asked Matt.
"You don't think we're moving too fast? Moving in together is a big step." Said Donna, unsure.
"Which is why I told you to think about it." He leaned forward as he took her hand. "I know I'm ready." He told her. Matt's cellphone on the table rang. It read Lillie, he picked up the phone and muted it. Donna glanced at his cellphone.
"It's my business partner, Lillie." Matt lied as he gave her his perfect smile.
"You should've answered it. It could've been important." Said Donna.
"I'll call back later. I just wanted a day that I didn't have to think about work." Said Matt, flustered.
Hours later, Matt is in a jewelry store looking around. Not really liking what he sees, walked over to the jewelry clerk, and waited until she was finished with another customer. He looked down at the counter and saw something that caught his eye. The clerk saw him and walked over.
"Hello. Welcome! How can I help you today?" Said the clerk.
"I am looking for something that is nice, but not too nice because it's a break-up gift." Said Matt.
"Sure, I can help with that. We have a few items that I can show you. Were you thinking of earrings, necklaces, or a bracelet?" Asked the clerk.
"Earrings sounds great. Yeah, she wears a lot of them." Said Matt.
"Is there a price range you were looking to spend today?" Asked the clerk as she began to open a case with earrings.
"No more than two hundred dollars." Said Matt.
The clerk pulled out a tray of earrings. He examined, picking out a simple earring set.
Will, still in his business suit, has just walked into Lavender Hotel as he continued to talk on his cellphone. He stands behind a couple that is checking in. He sees that the couple is done. A bellhop comes over and takes their luggage trolley to the elevator area. Will moves up to the check-in desk.
"I'll call you back later." Said Will as he set his phone down on the counter.
Front desk manager Emily finish entering something on the computer. She looked up to help the next customer and noticed how handsome Will is.
"Evening! Welcome to Lavender Hotel. Do you have a reservation?" Ask Emily, nervously.
"Evening. Yes, I believe it's called Tiffany's box." Said Will.
Emily smiles as she types on her computer, when she realized that it's the matchup from Daisy's plan. As she is the only one in the hotel to know about the plan. "Great, it looks like your other party is here. She also has your itinerary and everything is paid for. I just need to see your ID." She informed Will.
"Maureen?" Will asked. Emily gives him a confused look.
"Never-mind!" Said Will. Will takes out his wallet, pulling out his ID and handing it to her. She types a few things into the computer.
"The ID is for safety." Added Emily.
"No worries." Said Will.
Emily handed Will his ID back and scanned two key cards, giving one to Will.
"I just need you to sign on the keypad." Said Emily.
Will, picked up the pen on the keypad, signed his name. As he placed his wallet back in his pocket.
"And that's it! Welcome to Lavender Hotel." Said Emily. She gave a signal with her hand and a bellhop walked over. He took the second key card from Emily, while holding the luggage trolley with the other hand.
"Thanks." Said Will, looking at both Emily and the bellhop. The bellhop moved with the trolley heading to the elevator doors, Will followed behind.
Lillie is in her hotel bathroom in her lace chemise getting ready for dinner. She applied a light nude pink lipstick on her lips as she looked into the mirror, listening to soft music playing in her room. She heard the connected room door open and placed her lipstick down on the bathroom counter. She walked out of the bathroom into her room. "Maureen, what took you so long?" She said, as she walked through the opened french doors. She stopped in her tracks when she saw Will in the room instead of Maureen.
Will catches his breath as he sees Lillie in her undergarments, slowly taking her in. Lillie, embarrassed that it's not Maureen, immediately walked back into her room.
"Definitely, not Maureen." He whispered to himself, running his hand through his chestnut hair.
Since Will is still blocking the door entrance, the bellhop placed Will's carry-on bags and luggage at the front of the door. Will handed him a fifty dollar bill then grabbed his bag, luggages and placed them in the closest next to the exit doors.
Lillie re-enters Will's room with a bathrobe on. "Sorry, about that. I'm Lillie." She laughed, masking her embarrassment by extending her hand out to shake his.
"Will." He said, shaking her hand as he swallowed, looking into her almond shaped mocha colored eyes. She becomes a little nervous under his intense gaze.
"I'm sorry, you're Dan and Daisy's friend?" He asked, hesitantly.
She gave him the biggest smile. "Yes, since college." She replied.
Accepting her answer with his head nod. He closed his grey hooded eyes for a second. Her eyes fixed on his hand movement as he loosened his tie. He opened his eyes and his gazed moved from her eyes to her plumped lips. He placed his hands in his pockets.
"I'll let you get ready. You have like thirty minutes." Relieved as she started walking backwards until she got to the french doors. "I'll just close these doors." She added as she closed the doors.
Will's eyes fixed on the french doors, still standing with his hands in his pockets, trying to make sense of the woman from the restaurant.
Lillie closed the French doors behind her and leaned on the wall.
"Who was that?" She asked herself out loud as she took in her breath. She waited for her heart to settle before she continued to finish getting ready.
