The Setup 💕

Chapter 3

Will exited Mi's baby store holding a large amount of shopping bags. He held the door open for Maureen to exit with just her purse. They continue to walk down the cool downtown shopping center.

"I think we bought the whole store." He said jokingly as he looked down at the bags. "Is there anything in these bags, on the baby list?" Will inquired. 

"Oh, the baby registry?" Asked Maureen. She pondered for a second before answering."Maybe!"

"Maureen, I knew it was a terrible idea to go shopping with you." He said, amused as he shook his head.

"It's our first nephew. Of course, we're going to spoil him." She said excitedly.

"Either way. I can't thank you enough. I hate last-minute shopping decisions." Will told her.

"Well. If you want to thank me. I know one way you can." She flirtatiously said.

"Maureen." He said without even looking at her.

"What? Get your head out of the gutter — just dinner." She stated while speaking with her hands.

"Dinner?" Will repeated.

"I get it. You're off limits." A disappointed Maureen. "Daisy told me a while back, that you don't date friends or members of family friends. So, just dinner." Maureen said.

"All right! Dinner it is." He said.

Just as Maureen is about to say something. Maureen, sees a friend walking towards them.

"Donna?" Maureen murmured.

"What?" Will replied.

"She's an old friend of mine. Who I haven't seen in ages." She explained to Will.

"Donna!" She Shouted.

Donna, a tall mid-twenties with long Auburn curls and grey eyes. Looked up to see Maureen and an unknown man with his back turned towards her. She walked in their direction with Matt being dragged behind. While Will looked at the other shop behind him before making a decision.

"I'll be at this Chocolate shop." Will informed Maureen.

Will leaves just as Donna and Matt reached her, Maureen hugged her friend and looked over at Matt.

"Wow! You look beautiful as ever." Maureen told Donna.

"Thanks! I have this person to thank. Maureen, this is Matt, my boyfriend. Matt, this is Maureen, a friend from college." Donna told Maureen.

Matt and Maureen shook hands.

"Nice to meet you!" Matt said to Maureen.

"We've been dating for about four months now." Donna added.

"That's fantastic! We've got to have lunch and catch up. Are you free tomorrow?" Maureen asked.

"I can pencil you in. How about 12:30pm." Donna said.

"Great. Our old spot would be perfect." Said Maureen, excitedly.

"Wow, I haven't been there in ages." Donna said. 

"Then tomorrow at our spot." Maureen added.

Lillie, Faith, and Caroline are sitting at their favorite restaurant Roald Dahl.  They sit at their favorite table at the back of the restaurant, in front of two large ninety-six by thirty-six windows-on the right side of their table. The other window behind their table with both side showing the view of the planted outdoor trees. Will and Maureen are sitting in the middle of the same restaurant.
