That cause Fran to shake her head but she wanted to be Free of Amanda's pestering so she accepts

Glynda: she really doesn't want Amanda bothering her.

Blake: imagine a persistent stalker who keeps pestering you. Anyone would want them gone.

Yang: yeah got some of those in combat school.

Adventurer 1: looks like the Kid is gonna fight Amanda Next.

Fran was preparing herself for the duel but she asked her Father not to intervene

Fran: ( Father....I don't need you to protect me this time.)

Jaune: ( But Fran...)

Fran: ( I'm choosing to do this. I want to know how long I can last against an A Rank. )

Jaune: ( I understand.....)

Amanda: are you ready Fran?

She then got into a stance

And the two squared off

Ruby: this is gonna be good.

Fran was curious at how she did from an outside perspective

Jessica: you can do it Fran.

Nora: woooo!

Yang: go get em!

Blake: man she really have more skill than the regular huntsman.

Weiss: she had a unique learning experience and a veteran taught her so she had a better teacher.

An arrow hits Oobleck and Port

The two Adventurers squared off as Amanda whipped out her weapon

Fran: a whip?

Maria: an unorthodox weapon but a weapon still.

Ruby: hmmmm.....

She is trying to see all the weapon applications for the whip it appears to be a little impractical in some scenarios
