"So, what's your story?" Asked Will, as he moved his half empty plate out of the way.
"Married twice, divorced once." She said.
"You're married?" Will replied, surprised.
"Separated. But he's trying to win me over." She said nonchalantly.
Daisy is on the phone as she opened her front door to let her assistant Danny in, who was waiting with a large pile of mail in a basket. He walked in and proceeded towards the dining table like he has done it hundreds of times. Daisy followed as she got off the phone. They hug. "How are you feeling?" He asked.
"Tired! I'm so ready for him to come out now. Feeling blessed, but I don't mind having him in my arms now." She said, delightful, as she rubbed her belly. She pointed at the mail in the basket.
"I know what you're going to ask. And yes, it's in the pile. It's in the rubber band are time-sensitive." Danny starts to ramble.
Daisy nods.
"And I wanted you to know Lisa is still on vacation for another week. Luckily, She divided her work load, so that's covered. And last, you have a meeting on Friday with the author of with Learn to Relax." Danny informed her.
"Well great. I just finished reading that book. I want you here on Friday as well. And how's everyone in the office?" Daisy asked.
"Oh you know, they miss you, their boss and your fun crazy self. Someone the other day played your interviews. Just so they can hear your voice." He shared.
"Please tell everyone I missed them too." She said.
Danny, unloaded all the mail in the basket and settled them on the table. "Do you need anything else before I head back to the office?" He asked.
"No. You are wonderful. Remind me to give you a raise when I get back to the office. Thank you. And tell everyone lunch is on me for the week." She told him.
Daisy opened the door to walk Danny out. But both are surprised by Maureen, who entered the house excitedly.
"Daisy, you are not going to believe what I have to tell you." Maureen said as she rushed into the house.
"Morning to you, too." Replied Daisy to Maureen.
"Yes, morning, Danny." Maureen said nonchalantly.
"Ladies, have a fun and relaxing weekend." He said jubilantly as he walked out of the house.
"Thanks. You too." Maureen and Daisy replied together.
Daisy closed the door, turning to Maureen.
"Daisy, you may want to sit down for this news. So, the other day, I'm having dinner with Will." Maureen breathed out.
"How did you manage that?" Daisy blurted out.
"Doesn't matter. Anyway, Lillie was there." Maureen continued to say.
Daisy's mouth dropped open. She sat down on the sofa. And Maureen joined her.
"Get out of town. In the same restaurant. And I didn't have to plan it." Daisy declared.
"Only, I didn't realize it was her at first. Because I only saw the back of her head. She bumped into our table. She said something about food or something. I can't remember. But girl, he couldn't take his eyes off her. And he kept looking in her direction. And when she wasn't there when he looked, there was disappointment on his face." Maureen explained as Daisy tried to keep up with the story.
"I knew it." Said Daisy, relaxing.
"Daisy, the way he looked at her. It was like seeing him fall in love right before my eyes. If I didn't see it. I would have never believed that William Stanford, the man who said he had no time for relationships- New York's number one bachelor of the year, is capable of falling in love." She explained to Daisy.
"I knew it. I knew it. Wait, did she see him?" Daisy asked.
"I don't know. Maybe? I was too busy looking at Will. You know it's hard not to look at that sexy face of his." Maureen defending herself. Daisy rolled her eyes.
Maureen stands and walks over to the pictures on the mantle and looks over them.
"This is fantastic news. But you came all the way here to tell me this? You could've called me." Stated Daisy.
"First, we have to take down all the pictures of Lillie. I came here to tell you, I'll help." Maureen insisted.
"Help me with what?" Daisy said, looking confused.
"You know. You setting them up." Maureen says.
Daisy shooked her head as she watched Maureen starts taking down pictures from the mantle.
"Danny was talking about it at your baby shower." Maureen informed.
"And what do you want in return?" Daisy asked.
"Nothing" Maureen replied too coolly.
Knowing her sister. Daisy gave her a look. That said she doesn't buy it.
"Okay. I want to be the interior designer for his new home he bought here." She said confidently.
"Is that all?" Daisy asked.
"Maybe." Maureen replied.
Daisy gave her another look.
"And use the photos for my portfolio. I know he's private about that stuff." Maureen trying to explain.
"And if he says no?" Daisy Interrupts.
"I figured you had a pull on him since he renovated his new home to Daisy's dream home and doesn't know it." Maureen informed Daisy.
"Who told you?" Daisy asked, surprised.
"You just did. A while back, I read a weird text on your phone. I didn't put two and two together until just now. Do we have a deal?" Maureen asked.
"Fine. Deal." Said Daisy.
"I want that in writing." Said Maureen, smiling.
"Who are you, right now? Honestly. I think I liked you tipsy." Said Daisy.
