Rant: Argument: Null and Void

I've been reading and watching people argue over the validity of the Bible. Within all the books, to the verses, and the implications or even contradictions of what is written. Even as we, as people, should act to align with the teachings of Christ.

I don't know how to argue. I make up a lot of things, and they come out wrong. So, the question that lies within me is, where is my faith?

Faith, as it stands, belief in, trust in, confidence in, and assurance. People may label as assumptions, gullibility, belief without evidence, delusional, ignorance, or just emotions. There are epistemological cases of justified beliefs for many Christians and people who study to find reliable and trusted sources as evidence for their beliefs. I think that's alright.

For me, faith is independent of reasoning, it is through truth. As a form of belief that may not necessarily rely on empirical evidence. As we look at the ethics, the morality, the spirituality, and the philosophy to find internal coherence and logical consistency.

Now, my ideal would find it easier to explain as God as the "Final Authority." What He says goes, simple enough. Not many can see it that way or refuse to.

The best way to describe it, if I were to logically put it as my fallacy, as the appeal to ignorance. A choice to live by.

The best arguments against it, is why?

Why does God allow evil or pain and suffering?

We, as people, are flawed, short-sighted, and prideful. Why? It all serves a purpose. To show us what is good and what is evil, to discern as what all started it in the first place. To show us God's law and order are true by our nature to see what happens when we disobey or follow through. To choose the Lord or to not, completely willing and willfully. Should our own actions have consequences then?

What is pain without pleasure? What is evil without good?

Even Socrates claimed that there are opposites from opposites, there can't be one without the other. There is a greater lesson to be learned if we choose to listen.

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. (Matthew 7:7-8)

And we, as Christians are asked to give substantial evidence to prove God's existence. The burden of proof, as they say.

Now, in the court system, we can provide testimonies, eye-witness accounts and be classified as evidence. Even just one account is enough to prove whether you'd be innocent or guilty. But it's flawed and not enough to truly satisfy.

Even when there are four whole books in the New Testament, of four different people who witnessed the same thing happening.

But people are flawed. We lie, we can get details wrong or even misinterpret or even mistranslate. So, there's contradictions, even if the main subject at hand is written the exact same.

My claim as having proof myself is patience.

As Christians, we should all agree that the Lord will soon return. The Second Coming shall be the one and only substantial proof that God exists and that Jesus is our Lord and Savior.

It may happen now, tomorrow, weeks, months, or even years. Maybe not in our own lifetime. So, that's why there's faith and patience that we all should be ready for.

"But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father." (Mark 13:32)

"Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book." (Revelation 22:27)

"For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, And every tongue shall confess to God." (Romans 14:11)

So, those who believe in the rapture, I pray that you find guidance in Christ. It is not doctrine to know when.

If it doesn't happen, like ever? They win. Just an empty void and all my work was for nothing. But that's where my faith strengthens, my belief that He will come.

Completely okay with my argument being null and void to anyone who wishes to not hear. And I will stand and die by it.

For this I conclude my rant on my faith and how I see these arguments coming to light. May God bless you all, in Jesus' name, Amen.
