Eric, Four, Tris and Jessie became leaders of the city they kept things the same but made it so that Divergents where not though of as a threat Jessie was now 16 her choosing ceremony was in a few months Eric had raised her and she knew who her mother was and how she gave her life for so many people Eric saw parts of Tina in Jessie but one thing that she did have of Eric's was his cold stare that she had perfected over years. As for Four and Tris they are now married and have a girl called Tina. Four and Eric get along now after bonding over grief for Tina anyways in to the book.

ERIC POV

"COME ON JESS YOUR BREAKFASTS GETTING COLD" I shouted for the fourth time

"Okay dad jeez keep your piercings on" she joked I rolled my eyes

"You have your mothers humor" I say she rolls her eyes

"Do you have any pictures of her" she asked eating her breakfast I pulled out my phone and showed her the picture I took of her holding Jessie when she was born

"Here a picture of her holding you after you were born" I hand her the phone she studies it closely

"Was she happy when she had me" Jessie asked

"Course she was she loves you more than me for Christ sakes" Jessie laughed she finished her breakfast "I have a video of your first word" I find the video I secretly took Jessie watched it a smile on her face

"She was so pretty" Jessie says

"She was but some asshole shot her" I say cleaning up "anyway your off to you uncles today he can tell you more about her" I say we walk out the door to Fours I knock and see Tris

"Hi Eric, Jess come in" Tris say opening the door wider we walk in and Fours sat on the floor playing with Tina I smile

"Hey Eric, hi Jess" he greeted

"Four of you don't mind me asking what the hell are you doing" I ask

"The floor looked more comfortable than the couch obviously I was playing toy trains with Tina but she walked off and started playing with her toy guns" Four explained

"She acts just like Tina that is so weird" I say Four rolls his eyes

"Who's Tina" Jessie asks I never told her Tina's name

"Your mother" I said she looked at Tina for a bit

"So was she into guns and stuff then" Jessie asked

"Yep she was into all that shit guns, fighting she was a really good fighter did you ever record her Eric" Four answers

"Yea all of her fights why" I replied

"Let's watch them" Four says Eric hands Four the CD with all the initiates fights on "why do you carry it around" Four asks

"Just in case I get bored" I shrug Four gives me a weird look we all sit down Four puts on Tina's fight with some other guy but he was well built he threw a punch that she blocked he tried again this time she grabbed his wrist and pinned it behind his back before kicking him so he's on his knees she goes to knock him out but he grabs her and throws her across the ring

"Does she lose this one" Tris asks

"She never lost a fight" I answer Tris looked impressed so did Jessie

"Isn't that the guy who made fun of her, wait this is the fight she almost kills the guy" Four realizes

"Really" Jessie asked

"Watch and find out" I smirk

Tina gets back up and punches the guy in the nose breaking it she then swipes his feet from under hime he falls with a thud she gets on him and punches him repeatedly then you see me and Four walk in the ring I drag her off him while Four takes the guy to the infirmary you can see me whisper something to her

"What did you say to her" four asks noticing

"I think it was calm the fuck down or something" I try to remember

"What happened to that guy anyway" Tris asks

"I think he died from head trauma or something" I say everyone looks wide eyed "I'm joking guys he got cut because she broke his legs and he couldn't continue initiation" I say laughing they all relax

"I'm gonna get you back for that" Four says I raise an eyebrow

"How" I challenge

"One minute" he says walking out a few minutes later he walks in with a tape and puts it in

"What is it" I ask Four smirks you'll see

The tape started it was a camera footage tape soon you could see Tina walking and me sneaking up on her my arms round her waist only to be punched in the face "WHAT THE HELL ERIC" she shouts
"what I just wanted to surprise you" I say innocently
"Oh in a dark corridor yeah super idea I thought you were gonna fucking kidnap me" she says

Then I realize what happens next "Four stop the tape" I say he looks at me he obviously hasn't watched all of it

"Why" he asks

"Let's just say you'll traumatize Jess" I say but it's too late I look at the screen and see me pinning Tina against the wall kissing her I feel my heart being torn I find myself missing the taste of her lips

"Your still hurting Eric you didn't want this turned off for Jess you wanted it turned of for you" four says I nodded

"I miss her" I feel a tear slide down its the first time since her death

"Dad" I hear Jess I wipe the tear

"Yea" I croak

"She's not dead I saw her the other day outside the compound I'm pretty sure it was her" Jess said seriousness laces her voice

"I'll find the camera footage and check" Four said he came back and put it in we looked closely and there she was sat on the train tracks clear as day looking at the ledge it wasn't a ghost it was her my wife after 16 years

"We have to find her" I say desperate for answers she's alive ...
