Stuck in the Middle (sequel to fearless leader)

Third person POV

Eric and Tina wake up and get ready not saying a word they get their guns and ammo before kissing Jessie goodbye Eric's kiss meant see you later while Tina's kiss meant goodbye forever they left to meet everyone at the train tracks they jumped on Evelyn silences everyone before beginning to talk

"All of you know the plan and your role in it you must be prepared for anything that comes your way including death some of you may not be coming back but I hope that not the case and I hope that all of you make it out alive if not your death will not be in vain you will be remembered in hearts and souls of the future generation that you are fighting for so do us proud" Evelyn finishes they all clap when they reach Erudite Tina and Eric hide their guns and walk in while the rest hide and wait when they walk in Jeanine approaches them

"Your supposed to be dead" Jeanine exclaims shocked at there arrival

"What happened to hello" Eric asked Jeanine smiled at him

"anyway follow me" Jeanine orders Tina and Eric follow Eric grabs Tina's hand lacing their fingers together Jeanine walks into a room and Max is stood with an emotionless expression till he sees Eric and Tina

"The ruthless leaders live on" he jokes Tina smiles

"Where's the baby" Max asks looking at Tina's flat stomach

"Factionless took her as soon as she was born" Tina lies

"Did you name her" Max asks

"Jessie Reece Coulter" Eric answered Max nods

"We'll get her back" Max says

"Really" Tina asks

"Yep" he replies

"But we don't know where she is or who has her" Tina lies

"We will find her, anyway hows they relationship going" Max responds

"Well I'm enjoying life with my beautiful wife" Eric says Max eyes go wide

"You got married how?"he asks

"She begged Four she wanted us to die as a married couple" Eric answers

"I'm happy for you Eric finally settling down" Max says patting Eric's shoulder

"So Tina Coulter" Max wiggles his eyebrows Tina rolls her eyes

"Did you know her middle name was Marie" Eric asked Max almost collapsed laughing

"Wow really Tina the Ruthless leader I bet your mum regrets that one" Max says

"Fours is worse" she says

"How" Max asks

"Tobias Fredrick Eaton" Tina says Max literally doubles over laughing

"Legendary Four..." He trails off not able to continue due to another fit of laughter During all this Eric had managed to sneak off to disable to security and had now returned

"Now Max me and Tina are off for a walk round the compound to see a few more of our buddies so see us later" Eric says

"Alright man catch ya later, bye Tina" he says Eric and Tina walk and join the factionless helping take out the guards

"Okay so Jeanine should be..." Tina starts but is shot causing her to fall to the ground Eric kneels down next to her she had been shot in her hip he looked at the shooter it was Max

"Going somewhere" he asks Eric pulls out his gun and shoots Max killing him he looks at Tina

"Eric you have to go" she says

"I'm not leaving you" he argues

"Eric just go Jessie needs her dad" Tina says weakly

"She needs her mum to" Eric say tears forming

"Eric please there's nothing you can do" Tina says  

"I made you a promise that I would look after you" he trailed off tears rolling down his face

"Eric look at me" Tina said Eric looked her in the eyes "you have made me the happiest girl in the world you have looked after me and none of this is your fault so no matter what don't blame yourself I love you Eric Coulter always have always will" Tina says Eric leans down and kisses her their final kiss he pulls away and Tina closes her eyes she had died in Eric's arms he had watched his wife die

"I love you too" he kisses her before laying her down and walking to where Factionless had gone Four walked up to him

"Where's Tina" he asked Eric turned to him his eyes bloodshot

"She's dead, Max killed her" Eric says Four looked like someone had just stabbed him

"Four" Tris asked wrapping her arms round him "what's wrong" Four just pulled away and walked off Factionless took Jeanine and her army away everyone was celebrating their victory Four walked back in his appearance resembled Eric's, puffy blood shot eyes he walked up to Tris

"I don't know how to say this... But Tina she died" Four said collapsing in tears Tris ran a hand through her hair just then Evelyn walked up to them

"What's wrong we won" she says cheerful oblivious to her daughters death

"really BECAUSE I FEEL LILE WE FUCKING LOST YOUR DAUGHTER WHO YOU HAVENT EVEN NOTICED IS NOT HERE IS FUCKING DEAD AND YOU KNOW WHAT WINNING MEANS NOTHING TO ME IF MY LITTLE SISTER IS DEAD" Four shouts storming off to God knows where again Evelyn looks shocked and turns to Eric

"Is...it true is she really..." She trails off not able to continue

"Dead yes she died in my arms after being shot by Max a dauntless leader" Eric informed her

"You don't seem that affected" Evelyn comments making Eric pin her up against the wall

"She was my fucking wife she died in my arms I had to watch her slowly die I had to watch that energetic spark leave her eyes so don't you dare say I don't seem affected I am in pieces but like you said prepare yourself I did and I would've shot myself by now if I didn't have a daughter to raise" he says releasing Evelyn and storming off down a hall to punch a wall while thinking fuck you Max of all the people you had to shoot her my wife my everything...

I literally cried writing this chapter it is the final chapter I will do an epilogue to end it I had hundreds of ideas for the ending but I think this one was best because it just showed how dedicated Eric was to her so thank you for reading and I will be doing another Eric fanfic
