Forgive and Forget

I left the infirmary and walked to the train tracks the familiar whistle of the train filled my ears and I started running alongside the train I grabbed a bar and swung myself in the cart with ease I travelled to the dauntless compound entrance and jumped off most people take the stairs down but I just jump off into the net I get off and walked to my apartment well technically it was mine and Eric's but he didn't come here much because he was always too busy shouting orders I fumbled with the keys and unlocked the door only to find it was already unlocked but we never leave it unlocked unless we were home I walked in and saw Eric cooking and with candles set out everywhere he turned around

"Didn't expect you home this early" he said walking up to me and grabbing my hands

"Eric-" he stopped me by putting his finger on my lips

"This is my way of apologizing for not being there for you I know we haven't spent much time together recently and it finally hit home how distant we had become when you broke up with me and one of my biggest fears is losing you so please" he got down on one knee "will you be my Fiancée again" I bent down he looked worried another one of his fears is rejection I put my hand on his cheek

"Do you care about me" I ask it was the one question that bugged me

"More than anything" he replied I kissed his lips "so is that a yes then" he sounded worried

"Of course" I said he then collided his lips with mine suddenly smoke filled the room "ERIC THE COOKER" he had left the cooker on so it was now in flames

"Shit" he said before getting the fire extinguisher from under the sofa and put the fire out "sorry the foods kinda ruined" he apologized I went and wrapped an arm around his torso while the other massaged his shoulder I ignored the pain from my wrist

"It's fine" I rested my head on his back yet another fear, fear of failure "Eric" I whispered

"Yes Tina" he sounded slightly annoyed

"You okay" I unwrapped my arm and dropped my hand from his shoulder he turned around

"I just wanted to do something nice for you but I can't even do that" he was annoyed with himself

"Hey you've done more than enough for me I should be doing all this for you" I reassured him he smiles and leans down so his lips are near my ear

"There is something you could do for me" he whispers seductively I could feel him smirking a small smile crept up on my lips

"Oh really well I've got get back to work" I teased I didn't really but I just found it funny

"Really but I need you more than them" he pleads I laugh

"Really" I raise an eyebrow

"Yes I have needs and my needs are more important than theirs" he argues then kisses me pushing me against the wall "you know you can't resist me" he whispers

"Your right I can't and I don't really need to go back to work" he looks shocked

"You little--" I kissed him cutting him off he deepened the kiss lets just say that's the last anyone heard from us all day.
