"Sophia what did you and your frie-" she cut my off when she saw me cleaning my piercing.
"Sophia Marie Lane" my mom screamed. "What the hell did you do!"
"Mom it's just the belly button piercing I told you I wanted" I replied.
"And I told you you couldn't get that!" she screamed.
"Mom I'm almost 18!" I screamed back!
"I can do what I want""You always do this! Why can't you just ever listen!" she screamed.
The tears came streaming down my face.
"What the hell mom!" I screamed back, crying.
"Don't use that tone with me young lady!" she yelled.
"Grow up and stop being such a bitch sometimes" my mom screamed.
My brother started to cry. He hated fighting.
"Now look what you've done" she spat as she ran to get my brother
I was done.
I grabbed my bag, threw some clothes into it, grabbed my wallet and my phone.
I slammed my door and ran outside to the front yard.
I started walking down the street, crying to myself.
It was over a mile away, but I needed to get away.
-
I rang the doorbell, whipping my tears
"Soph?" Sam said, rubbing his eyes.
I tried to weakly smile.
He saw my red puffy eyes and my tear stained face.
"What happened?" he asked, pulling me into his arms.
I felt his warm embrace as I wrapped my arms around him.
"Are you okay?" he asked.
I nodded, as he pulled away.
"What happened?" he said, pulling me towards his couch to sit down.
I sat down next to him, my legs dangling over his lap.
"My mom kicked me out" I said, shakily.
"What? Why?" Sam asked, while rubbing his thumb on my thigh softly.
"Because of this" I said, pulling my t-shirt up, showing my piercing.
"For real?" Sam asked, looking at my piercing still.
"Mhm" I nodded. "She thinks it looks trashy"
He frowned, apologizing.
"You're more than welcome to stay here" he offered.
"Thanks Sam" I smiled.
"If it makes you feel any better, I think it makes you even more sexy" he said, looking down at the piercing then back at you with a smirk.
I giggled as my hand slightly massaged the back of his head.
I turned on the tv, and opened up Netflix.
I laid back on the couch, with my legs over Sam's lap.
I turned on a movie and relaxed. Sam rested his hands across my thighs.
-
In the light of the movie, I saw Sam eyeing me.
He could tell how stressed out I was.
