Logan led me into the elevator as we made our move to head back to the office. We stood in silence again. I look down at my watch to realise that time had really run without me realising, and strangely enough, Logan and I didn't discuss anything work-related, or anything related to helping me with Madison. We just talked, talked long time, and I cannot pin on exactly what we talked about, all I know is that I enjoyed it, I enjoyed every second of it. '' So you live here alone'' I looked to the side, lifting my head a little to look at him

''With Bianca''

''Bianca didn't tell me you two stayed together... she always sounds like she wants nothing to do with you'' he snickered, and I noticed from the corner of his lips

''That is your best friend for you'' We exited the elevator, and I followed behind Logan as we took one and two turns before heading for the excite. We ran into Aurora, and we carried that familiar smile

''I see you are leaving already, Miss Maria''

''I have to get back to work'' she nods in understanding

''You got the key ready?'' Logan asked. She reached for the pocket of her trousers and took out a key card, then handed it over to Logan

''Got it ready as soon as you requested''

''Thanks'' collecting it '' You can go back to work'' with that,Aurora, left us. Logan turned to face me '' For you'' he handed the key over to me. My gaze dropped to the card handed to me, and confusion washed over me

''What is this for''

''Access to my house''

''Hh'' an unconscious gasp escaped my lips at his action. What made him think I would need a key to his house '' I don't need it, Logan''

''Just take it, Maria'' His expression suddenly went blank '' I don't use to debate on this'' A sudden chill filled the air, and it seemed like he was threatening me. The audacity.

''I don't want it, I wouldn't use it''

''Then throw it away, Maria''

''Why the sudden authority over a key... You of all people should know that it doesn't work on me'' I crossed my arms, wondering why he suddenly went from warm to ice with me

''It's not authority, Maria, I am just tired. One moment it seems like you are ok with us getting close, and the next you and trying to build a wall'' He dropped his hand as I raised an eyebrow

''I don't understand''

''I know what you are thinking... This is just a collaboration, nothing attached, no reason to get familiar... Once it is over, we will go our separate ways'' Our gaze met. Every word he speaks is true. No strings attached. I just needed his help, and after that it was over, nothing attached'' But Maria, this is...'' He points from me to him,'' not just a collaboration, ok and and you may think you don't need the key, but I am telling you that you do, so take it '' He sounded irritated by my behaviour, and I wanted to push the matter, but it would just be a waste of both of our time. Logan handed me the key again. It took me a few seconds, but I collected it.

Work the next day was hectic. It turns out Logan was turning to finalise a previous project and at the same time work on the skyline with me. And his ability to multitask something like this was an amazing side of me. I have always known he was good at what he does, right from high school. I remember going into his room to see him working on one of Max's projects. I am surprised Logan works in this field, desperate all the he went through with his family company. I guess just like me, he had a love for building.
