Uncovering Truths - Part 1

Of course, being Jeremy... It isn't easy for him to be able to think properly especially when he's mad.

"She only just joined Lyoko! How can she be right? What does she know about Lyoko that I don't, huh? I've spent more time on Lyoko than she has ever done! Don't tell me all this crap and expect me to listen to her."

"Hey, she knew what the hack was in like a few seconds. Not to mention she can force open portals and have access to parts of Lyoko than any of us ever could. Including you." Yumi crossed her arms.

Surprised by the sudden argument that unfolded in front of him, Ulrich tried to salvage the fight.

"Guys guys! Let's just relax and take a few deep breaths then talk calmly, okay?" He had an awkward smile on his face.

Yumi led out a frustrated sigh, "I'm not going to stay here being idiots waiting for a miracle to happen! It's been 3 days and Aelita's not awake and our lives are hanging by the thread at this moment. We need to do something about it."

Yumi walked towards the door, right before turning the door knob, she looked at Ulrich. "You coming?"

"I-er. Just give me a sec." Ulrich replied, Yumi nodded and then went out.

He turned to Jeremy and said, "Jeremy, I know you're worried for Aelita and us since XANA's able to control Aelita somehow. But the thing is, I believe Jenny. I know she's new and stuff but, I think she knows what she's doing. Just... give it a shot?"

Jeremy's mouth parted slightly as if to say something, but quickly shut it.

"We thought that, without you, we could've died. But, Jenny just did everything. You haven't seen the things she has done. And, if you did... you would go along with her plan." Ulrich left the room, leaving Jeremy alone with his thoughts.

Jeremy was conflicted between two things. One: Jenny might get everyone killed by going into Lyoko again. The second: Aelita needs help and Jenny's method is correct.

He sighed.

"I can't believe i'm doing this..." He shook his head and walked out of his room.

"Woah... You really know your stuff." Odd stood behind Jenny.

"Mhmm."

"How?"

"I..." Jenny turned around, leaning against the table. "...I don't know."

Odd immediately reacted with a confused face.

Jenny shrugged and then went back to finish the virtualization program.

"Okay, let's go." She said and grabbed Odd's arm. They both entered the lift together, Jenny still grabbing his hand.

Odd's heart didn't stop pounding even after Jenny let go.

He moved his once held by Jenny's hand arm on his chest to calm his heart down. But, that wasn't working. He looked at Jenny, who was so deep in thought. "What was she thinking?" He thought to himself. Is her heart pounding like his too? Or is she just thinking about Aelita and XANA?

Suddenly, everything about Jenny seemed so fascinating or curious to Odd. It was like as if she was a new wonder. He wanted to know more about her.

Could this little, brief contact that they had, made Odd seriously fall in love with her?

After all, it is true that people do "fall in love in mysterious ways". (Quoted from Ed Sheeran's "Thinking out Loud")

The lift's door opened and that shocked Jenny a little. She composed herself very quickly and told Odd to head into the scanner.

"You ready?" Jenny smirked.

"As ready as i'll ever be." Odd smirked back.

The both of them steadied their nervous hearts. Jenny wasn't even sure that it would work. But somehow, everything seemed known to her, like it was as if she had seen or done all of this before. She just didn't know when.

The scanner doors shut and soon the virtualization commenced.

When the two opened their eyes, they were in Lyoko. Except the fact that they couldn't recognise where they were. It felt like Lyoko, it just... didn't look like Lyoko.

"I don't recognise this." Jenny replied.

"Recognise?" Odd looked at Jenny.

How could Jenny "not recognise something" when she had only been at Lyoko for what 2-3days? She hasn't even seen all of Lyoko yet.

"I... just know. This is new and it's definitely not a good sign. I'll see if I can pull out a door somewhere." Jenny said as she started walking around the place to find the best spot to open a portal.

It's like finding wifi signals, without the best spot for connection, you can never surf the internet!

So, like portals, there must be a strong signal to open one.

"What is with XANA?" Odd randomly asked.

"XANA's hack maybe fake. But it's fake in the sense that XANA is able to create new places in Lyoko and delete the original ones. XANA's also able to manipulate our communication system and our life points to give us the perception that XANA's in control of Lyoko to make me go to the core of Lyoko." Jenny explained.

Her next few steps were quick and she stopped right in front of nowhere and pulled a portal open.

"XANA couldn't access to there and knew only I could do that, that's why the hack was made. But, this hack isn't an easy feat to accomplish. There must be at least a year of hard work put in it to make it happen." She said as she stepped into the portal.

"So, that's why XANA did that! Wow! That really took XANA a long time to plan." Odd nodded and entered the portal.

Okay, i'm exaggerating im sorry. XANA created this hack to lure the lyoko gang into her trap! XANA wants to go to the core of lyoko, but WHY? And WHY is it that Jenny knows so much about Lyoko? WHYWHYWHY? And WHAT happened to Aelita? So many questions and they will only be known in the next chapter!😁😁😁
