finding nemo

aria's pov

i pull up to my apartment and we head inside. kai immediately takes her shoes off and goes to sit on the sofa.

"oh, looks like you're already comfortable! what would you like to watch honey?"

"dory" she says immediately.

"okay bubba, we can watch that." first nemo now dory, i think to myself as i open disney plus and put on finding dory.

"do you want a snack or something, kai?"i ask

"no thank you" she says already deep into the movie.

"okay bub" i say before handing her a blanket.

halfway through the movie, she stops and looks at me.

"ari?"

"yes baby?" i answer. she looks nervous.

"can we go to an aquarium? i wanna see nemo and dory" she asks me,tilting her head.

i could just lift her up and kiss all over her little face. she is too cute.

"of course we can, pea. do you want to go now?"

she nods and points at the tv. "after the movie"

"okay love." we finish up the rest of the movie and then i find the nearest aquarium for us to go to. it's thirty minutes away. i give kai a snack before we leave and she eats half of it before running to put her shoes on.

i grab my keys and purse and stand by the door. "kai baby, the drive there is thirty minutes. please go use the bathroom before we go."

she pauses and looks up at me. "no. i don't have to."

"can you try?" i ask nicely.

"fine." she pouts before walking to the bathroom. a few minutes go by and she comes back.

"ready?" i ask opening the door.

"yep!" she shouts.

on the drive there kai plays on her ds,showing me of the games on it. i just smile and listen to everything she says. she doesn't really talk much so when she does, i let her go on and on.

so much so that we're already here.

"okay, love. we're here" she closes her game and unbuckles her seatbelt. "yay!"

we enter the aquarium and kai is fascinated. i smile. i already paid online, so all we had to do was scan a qr code and get wristbands.

we walk up to the giant tanks and just look at all the different kids of fish.

i smile as she puts her face against the glass, just looking at all the fish  in awe.

she sees a fish that looks like nemo and starts shouting.

"ari look! it's nemo! ari!"

wow, that's so cool! say hi to him! but kai honey, we have to use our inside voices. there's other people here looking at the fish, and you don't want to scare nemo away, do you? "

she looks up at me and frowns. poor thing is just exited. 

"no" she whispers.

"okay, let's try to talk a little lower, hm?" she nods and looks around.

"can we look at the jellyfish now?" she asks in a lower tone.

"of course. let's go"

"wow so pretty" she looks up at me again. "can i have one?" she asks me tilting her head.
