They needed air.
The world had been too loud. Too sharp.
So Yeonjun booked a small cabin in the countryside far from Seoul, far from cameras, far from eyes.
Just two nights.
Just them.
⸻
The car ride was quiet, but comfortable.
Beomgyu leaned his head against the window, eyes half-lidded. Yeonjun drove, one hand on the wheel, the other resting just near Beomgyu's seat.
Close enough to feel.
Far enough to hide.
Until Beomgyu reached out and quietly laced their fingers.
Yeonjun didn't pull away.
⸻
The cabin was small. Cozy. No Wi-Fi. Just birds, wind, and the creak of old wood floors.
For the first time in a long time...
They could just exist.
No pretending.
⸻
They cooked ramen together.
Burned it.
Laughed like kids.
They sat by the tiny window, watching rain fall on trees.
And in that stillness, Yeonjun whispered,
"You know what scares me?"
Beomgyu looked over. "What?"
"How good this feels. Because I know we'll have to go back."
Beomgyu leaned in slowly, forehead against Yeonjun's.
Softly, he said,
"Then let's make this moment count. Just this once... let's not hide."
And he kissed him.
No rush. No fear.
Just them.
⸻
🎵 Meanwhile, back in Seoul...
Taehyun sat at the piano in the dorm, fingers drifting.
Soobin entered, holding his phone.
"They're safe?" Soobin asked.
Taehyun nodded. "Yeah. Cabin in Gangwon. I helped Yeonjun book it."
Soobin sat beside him. "You think they'll be okay?"
Taehyun played a soft chord.
"They're okay when they're together. That's all I know."
⸻
Hueningkai knocked on Beomgyu's door, forgetting he wasn't home.
He peeked in anyway. The room was neat, quiet.
On the desk, he saw a notebook open. Lyrics scrawled in messy writing:
"If love is a crime, then let me serve it with you."
Kai blinked.
Paused.
Then he smiled.
"I knew it," he whispered.
But instead of being mad...
He just softly closed the door.
⸻
Soobin sat alone in the living room later that night, staring out the window.
He held his phone tightly, the message from Yeonjun still open:
"I know you've always known. Thank you for letting us breathe."
Soobin typed back:
"You're my brother. So is he. I'll protect both of you even if it means protecting your silence."
⸻
🌙 Back at the cabin...
Yeonjun and Beomgyu lay tangled under a thick blanket.
No words.
Just slow breathing. Heartbeats. Peace.
And for the first time...
Yeonjun said it out loud.
"I love you."
Beomgyu didn't flinch.
He just whispered, "I know."
And kissed him again.
