Chapter 20 : Private but Not a Secret

He also couldn't help but feel amazed by the sharp perception of their fans. Though he's still not really into the name 'iminas' because he felt it sounded like a chanting for mortals to the divine Buddha; and he and Nani are both just mortals like the rest of their fans. But Sky's slowly warming up to the name because he understood that the fans aren't chanting to them, they're just chanting for them. And he felt grateful. Nani does too.

Their fans; most of them; really understood the relationship between him and Nani. They could read the subtle and the not so-subtle interaction between him and Nani that went beyond normal friendship. The fans had been referring to their relationship as 'private but not a secret', and they also observed how whipped Sky was for Nani, and how Nani was becoming more and more adorable. Everything was right on the money. Accurate.

"The fans knew about us..." Sky said, "but.. They'd still flip once we confirm it officially .." Sky smiled as he imagined the reaction of their fans once they knew for sure.

Nani agreed. Just like Sky, who wanted their relationship to be official, he wanted it too.

He and Sky aren't that young anymore. They're both not looking for some cheap thrills or experience. They want to be with each other for the rest of their life.

They're way past the age where they wanted to keep everything a secret. Of course, some serious couples in the industry do prefer to keep their relationship a secret to avoid being scrutinized by the public eyes. But for Sky and Nani; they both had the same mentality.

Once they find the person they want to be with; they'll announce it. Only by making things official, can they openly protect their relationship.

Hence, they planned to make everything clear, to their managers and the company as well. They also need to sort out their brand deals and ambassadorship they had signed with prior. Though, both Sky and Nani knew that when they signed the contracts; the requirement that that they needed to be single or that they couldn't reveal their personal lives were not in amongst the terms in those contracts. Sky and Nani made sure that there were no such terms before they signed. But still; Sky and Nani knew that they still need to meet with the brand executives to explain; just like how they need to explain to their managers and also the company executives.

Sky and Nani had an extensive discussion about everything last night. They laid all their cards on the table and not surprisingly; they both match with each other perfectly. They have differences but their differences brought them together instead of drawing them apart.

Sky reluctantly let go of Nani's hand just as he opened the door and walked out together with Nani.

Nani's apartment building is pretty nice; with a good environment and management. The safety precautions was also good. No overly nosy neighbours.

Still; no matter how nice Nani's apartment is; Sky had told Nani that he had no intention of living separately. In fact he had been looking for houses and apartments for half a year now. From twenty properties, Sky had narrowed then down to just five.

Sky would take Nani to go and look at the properties soon. Hopefully they could agree on one, so that they could move in together.

"What if I accidentally call you babe...?" Sky suddenly asked in the car; as usual, he would drive and Nani would be his passenger princess.

"Just be careful not to do it when you're on the mic.." Nani replied.

"Suddenly I'm nervous..." Sky said half joking, half serious, "I mean...I have always been a little nervous in all of our events before .." Sky looked at Nani, "mainly because you're just too cute and pretty..But today I'm also nervous because this is our first job as lovers.."

Nani closed his eyes and took a deep breath, "take it easy..Don't flirt too much please...!" Nani said, giving Sky a bombastic side eye, "let's just do this job well .. Okay...?"

Sky blinked innocently and then he smiled; harmlessly. Before Nani could exhale a relieved sigh however, Sky had already leaned towards Nani and planted a deep kiss on Nani's lips. Then he sat back, and began driving as if he hadn't done anything.

Nani blinked rapidly, then he turned red and quickly began looking around, outside of the window.

"Don't worry...The windows are tinted. Nobody could see inside..."

Nani gritted his teeth, gave Sky another bombastic side eye. Nani knew the tinted windows but still; he couldn't help but feel nervous.

"Don't be mad babe .. I need to recharge..." Sky said, giving Nani a puppy eyed look, "I can't kiss you until later tonight..." After the recording of the variety show, Sky planned to take Nani to have dinner at one of their favourite eating places.

Seeing Sky's puppy eyed look; Nani gave an exasperated and defeated sigh.

"Drive..." That was all that he could say. Nani had never been able to stay mad at Sky when he gave that look. It's Nani's weakness.
