My Only Exception

Chapter 4 : Sky

*2017*

Sky went into the car and sprawled himself at the back seat, finally allowing himself to get tired.

"Awww...!" Phi Thie, his manager who was driving him home today, looked over at Sky and asked, "tired?"

"Yes Phi..Let me sit at the back today...I think I need to lie down and catch some sleep", Sky said, yawning.

"You were ruthless the whole day today..." Phi Thie said, "You looked like you could go for one more game..."

Sky grinned, "I'm beat. But I can't let them win.." he replied, smiling in satisfaction, his eyes already half closed.

Phi Thie laughed a little, "yes. You got to win. You won't even spare the girls..." He muttered, shaking his head.

Sky actually had a photoshoot the whole day yesterday. He did not go home until after midnight. And the variety show shooting today started early at 7 in the morning; but Sky still came at 6.30 am with his usual energy. That's what he admired so much about this young man, since he started managing Sky, 2 years ago. Sky's commitment to his work and his sense of responsibility far surpassed his young age. Sky's still very much a teenager, barely eighteen but his work ethics is like that of a mature 30 year old man. That's probably why, brands never ceased to want to work with him, and producers and directors who worked with him all have high praises of him. Even his co-stars have nothing but good things to say about him.

Though Sky does let his teenager side show when it was the right time, especially in variety shows which they're allowed to be candid and just be themselves. Sky was first invited to join the Game of Teens variety show, only as a guest MC but after the directors and producers saw how brilliant Sky was, they offered him to be one of the regular members.

Sky is now widely known as the savage King when it comes to variety shows. He had the fighting spirit of a fierce lion, he never aimed for anything less than winning, and he will not spare anybody standing in his way, which was great for the show. Sky brought a sense of urgency and also realness to the show, which makes all variety shows he's in a success.

"You know...You could flirt a little with the girls in this variety series..." Phi Thie said, giving the kind of advice he thought he would never give to the artist he managed. "Nobody will take it seriously in these kinds of shows.."

"Phi Thie." Sky mumbled, "are you telling me to date..?"

"No, I'm not telling you to get a girlfriend.." Phi Thie replied, "what I'm saying is, it's okay to be young...and...enjoying yourself.."

Sky laughed a little, with his closed, lying on his back in the backseat, "I'm enjoying myself though..I won most of the time..that's what I enjoy the most..."

Phi Thie chuckled, "and you never even spared anybody, even the pretty girls in the show..." Phi Thie recalled the times that Sky just poured a basin of cold water over a girl, without care. And there was also a time where Sky could choose to be the one pulling the cart where one of the girls in the show would be riding, or let the girl pull it for him. Sky chose to sit and let the girl pull it for him. And that's just a few incidents. There were many more; not just in one variety show but in all the variety shows Sky's in. He never showed preferences.

"Pretty girls..? Nahhh..." Sky shrugged, "I don't care..Everybody's for themselves in games and competitions.. Winning is the goal!"

Phi Thie laughed and shook his head. He just wants Sky to enjoy being a teenager more but looks like matters of feelings ain't everybody's main concern.

This is actually great, for an artist manager like him. He got to managed an artist who doesn't like to play around, aren't interested in relationships, does not flirt extensively. He doesn't have to worry about Sky sneaking around and being caught dating and he would have to scramble finding excuses as counter measures.
