Better than words

Before things changed

"Hey Al today's your day for the Aux cord." Kate said. I knew she hated this day because that meant one direction all the way to the campus. Luckily Shai is a die hard Directioner too so I have someone to sing with. "Okay so Midnight Memories or Four? Hmmm?" I joked. Shai already had Strong playing before we left the parking lot. And although Kate won't admit it, she knows every word. "IM SORRY IF I SAY I NEED YOU, BUT I DONT CARE IM NOT SCARED OF LOVE!" We all sang. Shai likes to take zayns part because she tries her hardest to hit the notes. Zayn leaving was hard for us both. We made the most of it though, he was happy and the boys were happy. We were beyond lucky that we all made it into the same college and could afford an apartment together. Kate and I had always planned to go to college together and play basketball, and we got to bring our best friend Shai. "So what's the plan for today, guys?" Shai asked. "Well we have classes and then practice until 7" me and Kate said at the same time. "How do I always get stuck making dinner for yall? I'm not your mom!" Shai said. "Because you love us," Kate explained. Shai promised to make dinner when we got home and we decided to rent The Longest Ride tonight. After all it was Friday and we don't really party. We all headed to our different classes. After practice Kate and I went home and as promised Shai
had made spaghetti and garlic bread. We watched the movie and once it was over we all went to our rooms. I layed down in my bed and scrolled through Twitter and Insta, 12 new follower, sounds like a good day. As I was about to turn off my phone I got a notification
*from Dylan: hey Aly we have U.S. History together, Mr. Farren paired us up for a project and I was jw if you want to work on it tomorrow?"* I sent back a quick sounds good and good night. We decided to meet in the morning at the campus Starbucks.

My alarm went off at 9 to get ready so after I managed to get myself out of bed I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth and washed my face. Dylan..I tried to put a face to Dylan. I knew he was either a really tall guy with long brown curly hair or he was the dude that sat beside him with short black hair. Either way he was very cute so I decided to dress up a bit. I wore a casual blue dress with a nice pair of wedges to match. I curled my hair, put on some make up, grabbed my keys and headed out.

"Hey Aly thanks for coming to see me, you look nice today." Dylan said. He was the one with short black hair. He was dressed In a blue button up and khakis, and he looked mighty fine. "Yeah, no problem. And thank you, so do you. Let's figure out what interesting topic our project will be over" we sat for an hour or two discussing everything, our project, our lives, why we chose this college. He was really easy to talk to. I checked the time, "crap it's two o'clock I have a job interview I'm sorry I have to go" and with that we said goodbye and I headed to the mall.
