Episode 16: Target

We start the episode outside of Danny's where Shido and Ethan were speaking with a police officer about the dead man on the ground as other officers secured the scene. As the two finish speaking with the officer, they walk a few feet away from the scene and stand at a corner. Sensing the tension, Ethan decided to speak up.

Ethan: Looks at Shido. "You ok man? That must've been horrific to see." He asked with a sympathetic tone.

Shido: Looks at Ethan. "It's...okay. Believe it or not I've seen worse." He said making a forced smile.

Ethan: "No kidding? Heh, guess I don't know that much about you after all." He said somewhat interested.

Shido: Lets out a short laugh. "What did you think about me before?"

Ethan: Looks up to think. "Before...I thought you were a playboy." He said looking back at Shido. "I mean come on, you have like what? 5 girlfriends?" He said joking a bit.

Shido: Let's out a small cough of embarrassment. "11 actually." He said shyly gaining a flabbergasted reaction from Ethan.

Ethan: "Damn! That's insane!" He shouted excitedly as Shido tried to quiet him down.

Shido: "Look...Tadashi. I know we may not have gotten on the right foot and I'm sorry if I have ever done anything to you that made you dislike me." He says while holding out his hand. "But I want to try to be your friend."

Ethan: Looks down at Shido's hand before slowly reaching out his hand to shake his. "Ok. We can try being friends...and I never really disliked you." He says as he smiles.

Shido: "Thanks Tadashi."

Ethan: "Call me Ethan...Shido."

As the two finish their handshake and form their new bond, Shido remembered about the question from earlier.

Shido: "Oh right, I still never got your answer from earlier."

Ethan: "Oh right...ok." He says hesitantly.

Before Ethan could respond completely, he notices Hiwa pulling up to the crime scene. Noticing his lack of focus, Shido looks back out of curiosity.

Shido: "What's wrong Ethan?" He asked confused while looking back to Ethan.

Ethan: "Ah, I'm sorry man, I gotta go." Pats his shoulder before rushing past Shido. "I promise to tell you more later!"

Just as a confused Shido watches Ethan runaway, Ethan catches up to Hiwa who wore a concerned expression on his face.

Ethan: "Yo Hiwa!" Ethan shouted as the officer jumps from shock.

Hiwa: Looks at Ethan worried. "Oh...Ethan. Hey."

Ethan: Notices something is off. "Hiwa, what's wrong?" Looks around. "And where's Hunter?"

Hiwa: Hesitates before answering. "He...disappeared. He was gone from the scene the moment I arrived." He said as he pulled out Hunters phone. "All that was left was this."

As Ethan widens his eyes from shock, the camera pans out to show Shido secretly listening from the corner before switching to an unconscious Hunter on a stack of crates. As he gains consciousness, Hunter slowly opens his eyes and holds his head in pain.

Hunter: Groans. "Ugh, what happened?" He asks slowly sitting up.

Kotori: "Finally awake?" She asks in a dominant voice.

Looking towards the voice, it's revealing they're in some kind of hallway with Kotori sitting on a stool.

Hunter: Looks at Kotori confused. "Where are we? What are you doing here?"
