Minju ran from the infirmary. She didn't know exactly what she was looking for, just that she knew Hanwool was up to something, and that he wouldn't tell her.

Speeding up the stairs, Minju paused when she found Gyujin. He, beaten up and bruised, was being carried by one of his peers from the rooftop.

"Lee Hyunwoo!"

Minju heard Jiwoo call out her brother's name, the boy in question running through the corridor headed straight for Gyujin.

His eyes, they were full of rage and anger.

And his hand? It was wrapped tightly around a knife.

He was going to stab Gyujin.

Minju tried to jump forward. Step in between, just to try to stop Hyunwoo from making yet another stupid decision. Only, she was held back by a firm hand which grabbed hers, flipping her so that she faced them.

She heard the slicing sound of a stab, a thud, and a scream, "Ms. Lee!"

The sound of the knife plunging through flesh was prominent in her mind, a reminder of how she ended up in the past in the first place. It never affected her before as much as it did now.

I mean, who could blame her, am I right?

Her limbs grew heavy, but arms held her up tightly. She yearned to look, to see and check if whoever was stabbed was okay, knowing she herself wouldn't be upon laying her eyes on them.

The person's hands settled on her back, and when Minju tried to turn her head to see what was going on, their other hand pulled her head towards their chest.

Hopeless, Minju took in the familiar scent of soft, clean linen that surrounded her. She got lost in it, refusing her mind to wander towards the depths of her uncertainty.

The moment didn't last long before it was interrupted.

"Are you Pi Hanwool?"

Hanwool slowly released his grip on Minju when they found themselves surrounded by police officers, his hand caressing her cheek carefully before he turned to walk down the stairs.

As officers surrounded him, the one in charge spoke up, "We're here to bring you in for an investigation, I'm-"

"Officer Na Taeman from of Incheon Central Police Station. I know, let's go."

Minju watched worriedly as Hanwool strutted down the stairs with his hands in his pockets, the police officers on both his sides. As they turned the staircase, he looked up to see her, his lips rising in a reassuring smile.

Minju walked down the hospital hallway with a bouquet of flowers in hand. The lights were bright, blinding white, and the place was left spotless and sterile, the distinct smell of antiseptics infiltrating her nostrils.
