26: Jaune Gacha 1

She wanted to impart something to me but it was interrupted by Kashchey.

Kal'tsit: the Endless Snake has been haunting you since Babel?

Jaune: Yes. He wanted to kill both Theresa and me but she shielded me from harm. With his plans foiled and me on guard he ran. But Theresa was badly wounded. It was then I discovered that her Oripathy has progressed too far for her to survive for more than a year.

Kal'tsit:..........

Jaune: she gave her life to a person who became unworthy of it....but she told me it had purpose.

Theresa: it was to Foster Hope. Doktah, Kal'tsit and Amiya. You are the Sword, Shield and Crown that will save the world. I entrusted the Future to all of you.

Kal'tsit: ........*grunt* I see....

She dusted herself off the ground

Amiya felt pride that she was trusted by Theresa

Kal'tsit: to save everyone on Terra.

Jaune: you always called me a workaholic. It was to keep my promise to her....to make her sacrifice worth it.

Kal'tsit: and you fulfilled your promise.

Jaune: you have heard my name, my real name multiple times since coming here.

Kal'tsit: Jaune. Jaune Arc.

Jaune: The Arc Lives with one Motto their entire lives 'We Keep our Promises'.

Kal'tsit: I see. It's good that you were stranded on Terra. Everyone living there would still be fighting up until now.

Jaune: and now my world is at the start of it's collapse and you and Rhode's Island have committed to saving it.

Kal'tsit: the world owes you a debt. And Rhodes Island doesn't live in debts.

Jaune: thank you, Kal.

Kal'tsit: it's been so long since someone called me that.

Jaune: I don't know if we can keep this up.

Kal'tsit: I think it's time for a new start....for both of us.

She reaches out her hand

Kal'tsit: my name is Kal'tsit what's yours?

Jaune: it's Jaune.

They shook hands

Theresa: so you two went back to zero and start from scratch?

Kal remained silent and not answering

Jaune took a sip of his coffee

Kal'tsit: this time around I feel like I have competition. Lots of it.....

It was Jaune's turn to spit take

Kal'tsit: *giggle* it's good to have you back Doktah Jaune.

Theresa: aw how sweet.

Amiya: umm Theresa are you and the Doktah.....

Theresa: that's a story for another time my little Amiya.

A Rhodes Island Operator came in and told them that the assembly has been finished

Jaune: it seems like it's back to work.

Kal'tsit: I'll watch over the Fort, you do what you do best.
