Taehyung’s POV

The days that followed felt like slow poison.

Taehyung tried everything to shake the restlessness growing inside him—late nights out with Jungkook and Hoseok, early morning drives, long walks around campus—but nothing helped.

No matter where he went, no matter what he did, he couldn’t stop thinking about him.

Jimin.

The way Jimin’s body moved when he danced.
The way Kai’s hands had lingered on his waist.
The way Jimin didn’t look surprised to see him anymore.
Just tired.

And that… that stung more than anything.

They used to be inseparable. Teasing each other, clinging to each other like gravity itself demanded it. Now? Jimin walked right past him in the hallway like they were strangers.

It was driving him insane.

But what was he supposed to do?

He couldn’t have Jimin. He wasn’t allowed to want him like this.
Because Jimin was his younger brother.
His beautiful, infuriating, untouchable brother.

Taehyung pressed his knuckles to his mouth as he leaned back in the driver's seat of his car, parked just outside the dance building.

He told himself he was there to pick up a book from the library nearby.
Not to watch Jimin walk out of practice, sweaty and glowing, surrounded by people who actually understood him.
Who were allowed to touch him.

His phone buzzed.
A message from Jungkook: “Hyung, you coming to the party tonight?”

Taehyung locked the screen without answering. He didn’t feel like being around people.

He didn’t feel like doing anything.

Except...

His mind flickered back to last night.

Lying in bed, exhausted, but wide awake.

Jimin’s voice echoing in his head.
“You’re jealous?”

Taehyung had turned onto his side, eyes wide open in the dark.
Of course he was.
But he couldn’t say it.

Worse, every time he closed his eyes, all he could feel was Jimin’s touch.
The memory of his soft lips against his lips.
The feel of Jimin’s fingers brushing against his neck, teasing, daring.

It wasn’t just some passing thought. It haunted him.
Like a drug he’d been forced to quit cold turkey.

Taehyung clenched the steering wheel now, heat rising in his chest.

This wasn’t supposed to happen.
He was supposed to protect Jimin, not want him.

And yet...

Just then, the studio doors swung open.

Jimin walked out, his duffel bag slung over one shoulder. His cheeks were flushed, lips parted slightly, hair damp with sweat.

A group of dancers followed him, clapping and laughing.

Kai, I swear, if you keep lifting me like that, I’m going to throw up on stage,” Jimin joked, grinning.

One of the instructors clapped him on the back. “You’ve got talent, Jimin. Real talent. You’re going to steal the spotlight at the competition.”

Jimin beamed under the praise.

Taehyung couldn’t look away.

He looked happy. Free.
