It was too much for Taehyung.

His heart was screaming. Hold him. Kiss him back. Don’t let go. But his mind—his mind screamed something else.

With a sharp inhale, Taehyung snapped out of it.

He ripped himself away, his hands trembling as he pushed Jimin back. His breath was ragged, uneven. "Stop." His voice came out broken.

Jimin’s lips were parted, swollen from the kiss, his cheeks flushed with heat. He looked stunned but didn’t back away. Instead, he stepped forward again.

"Why?" His voice was barely above a whisper.

Taehyung gritted his teeth. Why?

Because if he didn’t stop now, he never would.

"Because this is wrong, Jimin," Taehyung forced out, his voice shaking with restraint.

Jimin let out a sharp breath, his eyes narrowing. "What’s wrong about love?"

"You don’t understand—"

"No, hyung," Jimin cut him off, his voice breaking. "You don’t understand. I love you, and I know you love me too. Why are you fighting it?"

Taehyung’s chest ached. His hands curled into fists.

"I do love you," he murmured, his voice almost tender.

Jimin’s breath hitched. His heart pounded as he waited for the words that should follow.

But then—

"You’re my little brother."

Jimin froze.

It felt like a blade slicing through his chest.

For a moment, neither of them spoke. The only sound was the harsh rhythm of their breathing.

Jimin’s hands slowly loosened from Taehyung’s shirt.

"Don’t act like you don’t know what I mean, hyung." His voice was barely audible, shaken with disbelief. "You feel it too. You love me—not as a brother. More than that."

Taehyung’s eyes darkened, his whole body trembling.

"It doesn’t matter." His words came out strained, weak—like he was convincing himself more than Jimin. "It can never happen."

"Why?" Jimin demanded, his voice cracking. "Tell me why."

Taehyung squeezed his eyes shut, chest tightening.

"Because it’s forbidden, Jimin."

Jimin let out a breathless laugh, pained and bitter.

"Forbidden? A sin?" His lips quivered as he stepped closer, staring straight into Taehyung’s eyes. "Then tell me, hyung… Why does it feel so right when we’re together?"

Taehyung’s breath hitched. He couldn’t answer.

Because he knew.

He knew Jimin was right.

He could still feel the ghost of Jimin’s lips on his, the warmth of his body pressed against him. He could still taste him.

And the worst part?

He wanted more.

But he couldn’t.

"Stop this," Taehyung growled, stepping back. His voice wasn’t just angry—it was desperate.

Jimin shook his head, eyes brimming with unshed tears. "Hyung, please—"

"No." Taehyung’s voice wavered. He turned his back to Jimin, his hands clenched so tightly they shook. "Forget about this. Forget about last night. None of this means anything. Do you understand?"
