The words landed like a physical blow.

Jimin took a staggered step backward, as if the air had been knocked from his lungs.

For a long moment, he just stared at Taehyung.

Then—he laughed.

Softly.

Bitterly.

"You’re lying."

Taehyung’s jaw clenched.

"You’re a coward." Jimin’s voice was steady, but his hands trembled. "You can run from this all you want. But you can’t run from your own heart, hyung."

Taehyung flinched.

Jimin turned away, his heart aching in ways he never thought possible.

The door clicked shut behind him.

The second he was gone, Taehyung let out a shaky breath.

His shoulders shook, his head dropping forward.

He didn’t dare move.

Because if he did—

His knees would give out.

After leaving Taehyung’s room, Jimin flopped onto his bed, staring blankly at the ceiling. His chest ached, not from physical pain but from the weight of Taehyung’s rejection. He clenched his fists, forcing himself not to cry.

"I don’t accept this." His lips curled into a stubborn smirk.

Reaching for his phone, he opened his group chat with Yoongi, Jennie, and Felix. He hesitated for a moment before typing:

Jimin: I confessed to Taehyung hyung.
Jimin: And he rejected me.

The chat, which had been silent for hours, exploded instantly.

Jennie: WHAT??!

Yoongi: Wait. WHAT??

Felix: You CONFESSED?! Out of nowhere?!

Jimin sighed, rolling onto his stomach as the flood of messages continued.

Yoongi: And he REJECTED you??

Jennie: HOW? WHY?!

Felix: You sure he didn’t just panic?

Yoongi: I knew he was an idiot, but this is next level.

Jimin chuckled at their reactions, though the heaviness in his chest remained.

Jimin: It’s not that simple, guys. He thinks it’s wrong. He told me to forget about it.

A moment of silence. Then—

Jennie: Of course, he’d say that, Minnie.
Yoongi: You basically dropped a love bomb on your older brother. He’s gonna need time.

Felix: Yeah, love doesn’t just flip a switch, especially when it’s someone you grew up with.

Jimin stared at the screen, biting his lip. He knew they were right, but still—

Jimin: So what do I do now? Give up?

Yoongi: Are you an idiot too?

Jennie: Minnie. You LOVE him.
And he LOVES you. He’s just scared to accept it.

Felix: If you love him, you don’t back down. You fight for it.

Jimin’s heart swelled at their words.

Jennie: Don’t make him
comfortable thinking rejection was the end. Show him your love isn’t that easy to erase.

Yoongi: And don’t let him avoid it. He needs to face it.

Jimin exhaled, determination returning to his gaze.

Jimin: You guys are dramatic, but I love you.

Jennie: Duh.

Felix: Now go win your man.

Jimin locked his phone, eyes glinting with new resolve. He wouldn’t back down.

Meanwhile  Taehyung’s

Taehyung sat on the edge of his bed, head in his hands. His lips still tingled from Jimin’s kisses, and his heart felt like it was waging war against his mind.

"This is wrong." He reminded himself, but the words felt hollow.

Jimin’s voice still echoed in his ears. “I love you, and I know you love me too.”

With a deep, shaky breath, Taehyung grabbed his car keys. He needed to get out, clear his mind—escape from the suffocating weight of his emotions.

Without another thought, he walked out of the house, not even knowing where he was going. He just knew he had to get away.
