Valerie Pearson, 32, was with her girlfriend, Indigo and her transformed best friend, Bessie, along with Lydia as well. Valerie missed Deerville, hanging out with Bessie and shopping with her. However, Valerie couldn't shake off this feeling that something might go wrong with the plan, that nobody is going to make it.

It was as if that Craig has been insistent of transforming people into characters, and persistent on meeting his goal, no matter what, and Valerie didn't want to know what will happen to her or anyone else, but Valerie also couldn't shake off the fact that Oswald's visions might become true, that Valerie would end up falling the same fate as everyone else who had fallen before her.

The transformations have been happening too fast. Only three of them were still human at this point, which means that each hour of waiting can lower their chances of success, and Craig wasn't waiting around to transform the remainder of the participants.

Speaking of Which...

"I cannot have the survivors letting anyone know about my vision and telling them on how messed up it is! My vision isn't messed up, it's supposed to make everyone's lives better, not worse." Craig mumbled to himself, "I have to cover up my tracks, keep myself clean, and make sure that there is no more witnesses."

Craig thought long and hard, he had to get those remaining survivors out of hiding and transform them before they all escape, telling everyone what happened here. There shall be no witnesses remaining here after this, only he and his children will remain... and he had big plans for the final transformation, him.

It was scary to think that things are almost over, as Craig knew that once everyone is transformed, he would have to transform himself to get away with it all, get away with all these transformations that he had done for the past few weeks. Transforming himself would be the only way to atone for his misdeeds.

Anyways, Craig had a plan to draw everyone out of hiding and it is to cause a gas leak, but instead of a normal gas leak, anyone who inhales it will be subject to transformation. The plan was foolproof, there is no way that those scoundrels actually had grabbed gas masks before they left home, right?

Without any further ado, Craig threw a bomb into the vents, a bomb filled with fumes that will transform people into characters that fit them perfectly well. Now, all Craig had to do is await the results to start popping up.

Meanwhile with Valerie...

Valerie had this gut feeling that Craig was up to no good, and he might be messing with the ventilation system. Valerie noticed that there are three high-quality gas masks that Indigo had brought with her, but why would Indigo bring three gas masks instead of one, is she really that selfless, or just plain prepared for anything?

Valerie knew that Lydia and Indigo would be more than capable of wrecking Craig's plans than she'd ever will in a lifetime. Valerie also didn't want Bessie to be fully transformed either.

Valerie walked over towards Indigo and kissed her on the lips, and Indigo kissed back, blushing.
After the kissing session, Indigo asked, "Why that kiss? Why can't we do it later?"
"Well, I have no idea how to put this, but, Craig is planning to mess with the ventilation system. One, to draw us out of hiding, and two, to transform us all at the same time. You really need to put the gas masks on, and that means Bessie as well, we cannot afford to lose our lead towards saving ourselves and everyone else in this goddamn county!" Valerie replied.
"B-but you... what about you... there's only three masks and four of us..." Indigo whimpered.
"Don't worry, I am putting everything on the line, my life and humanity, to save your asses. Also, I have lived a full life before all this, you haven't experienced happiness for yourself. You've always been relying on others to make you happy, pleasing them, you don't have to please me or anyone else, you have to do what makes you happy, put on the mask and get out of here, now." Valerie replied.
