Mikaela Boomer, 21, couldn't believe her eyes. One of her closest friends had painfully transformed into an object, an aggressive pitcher to be exact. Although she couldn't say anything or hear anything at all, especially the horrifying screams that Peony had let out during the painful transition from human to object.

Mikaela also feared the loss of her personhood as well, as she didn't want to become nothing more than an object with absolutely no memories of who she once was. She was sweating bullets, and her heart was racing. Tears were streaming down her cheeks as she collapsed onto her knees. She wanted to scream, but she couldn't at all.

Mikaela was born deaf, and her parents and grandparents had reached out to unorthodox treatments, one of the treatments that was an attempt to get Mikaela to hear was extremely dangerous, and the vial that the witch doctor fed Mikaela as a child had totally destroyed her vocal cords, which meant that she was rendered forever mute.

Mikaela still wondered why her family didn't insist on giving her hearing aids instead of going through unorthodox, if not dangerous treatments. The only reason why she knows about hearing aids is because Nadia and Peony had shown her it on the internet at school.

Nadia and Peony were the only people at school who understood her and people like her. Not even the special needs teachers understood what Mikaela needed as a child and as a teenager. Mikaela also remembered that there was a letter suggesting that her family should send her to a facility...

...However, her family still loved her despite her flaws, and wouldn't want someone else to raise their deaf-mute daughter. Mikaela couldn't go to college because the coursework at high-school was difficult, if not impossible for people like her. The teachers expected her to speak up and listen to the lectures.

However, Mikaela had adapted and overcame the challenges, despite being unable to get a formal education because of the lack of accommodations that her school had. Mikaela had to adapt and be tough to survive a society that's tough to not just her, but people who are in similar situations as her.

Mikaela is a tough person because of the adversity she faced, and as a teenager, she had lost one of her eyes as well, which is why she's currently wearing an eyepatch.

Back to the present, Nadia was trying to calm her best friend down, trying let her know that everything is going to be alright, not using words, but patting her shoulder gently.

Regina smirked that Mikaela is having a meltdown, because of the transformation of her friend.
"Oh, look! Mikaela is actually crying~! What a baby!" Regina snickered.
"Now, I wish I had my phone with me, so we can record this and post this on the internet!" Clarissa snickered.
"Hey! That's not nice of you!" Nadia scoffed.
"Hey! Don't tell me what to do, you bitch!" Regina scoffed.
"How would you like if your friend ends up being transformed into an object?!" Nadia scoffed.
"Well, I don't have to worry about it because I am too pretty to be transformed!" Regina gloated.

"I had enough of this bitch! Graaaaah!" Gladys got up and stood in between Regina and Nadia, glaring right at the former, "Why the fuck do you have to be a bitch to everyone in this shithole?!"
"I can do whatever I want!" Regina scoffed in a mocking tone, further pissing off Gladys.
"You bitch! Don't you dare mock me or I'll whip your ass so hard that you'll wish you're never born!" Gladys threatened as she punched her open hand with the other hand clenched into a fist.
"Do you really want to beat me up?! You're going to regret it if you do!" Regina scoffed.
"I won't regret beating the living shit out of you! Even if it means killing you!" Gladys scowled, about to beat up Regina before Chase ran over and stood between the two women.
