The cold air bit at their dough as the gang found themselves standing in an all-too-familiar kingdom—Dark Cacao Kingdom. But something was off. The skies swirled in an eerie blue mist, the towering structures stretched and bent unnaturally, and the ground beneath them shifted like a living, breathing board game.
"I-Is this... the Dark Cacao Kingdom?" GingerBrave stammered, hugging himself as an unsettling chill ran down his spine.
A slow clap echoed through the air. "Ah, there you are!" Shadow Milk Cookie cooed, perched high above them, eyes gleaming with mischief. "The rules are simple! Pure Vanilla Cookie and I will roll the dice, and you, my dear little pawns, shall traverse the board. Sounds fun, yes?" His voice dripped with amusement.
"WHAT DID YOU DO WITH READER COOKIE?!" Strawberry Cookie shouted, her hands clenched into fists.
"Yeah!" GingerBrave agreed, his stance firm.
"Better give them back!" Wizard Cookie added, narrowing his eyes.
Shadow Milk Cookie cackled. "Ha! All in due time. Now, safe travels, dear Cookies... and perhaps you'll find out!" With a dramatic flourish, he disappeared into the darkness, his laughter lingering like a haunting melody.
GingerBrave shivered. "H-Huh...? Is this a d-dream? It's so cold! Wizard Cookie, p-pinch me!"
Wizard Cookie obliged with a quick pinch.
"Ouch! N-Nope... definitely not a dream..."
Strawberry Cookie tugged at GingerBrave's sleeve. "L-Look...! There's a Cookie over there...!"
A familiar figure stepped forward—Caramel Arrow Cookie. But something was wrong. Her usual dark hues were replaced with strange, deep blue markings, her eyes gleaming an unnatural shade of sapphire.
"Caramel Arrow Cookie?!" Wizard Cookie gasped.
Strawberry Cookie took a step back. "S-Something's not right...!"
The distorted Caramel Arrow Cookie raised her bow, her voice void of warmth. "Watchers, get into position!"
"What's going on?! Are they... attacking us?!" GingerBrave exclaimed.
The battle erupted in an instant. The gang fought fiercely against the corrupted Caramel Arrow Cookie and her forces, the clash of magic and steel resounding through the twisted kingdom. At last, they emerged victorious.
