Chapter 5

The Music you can play when the battle start.

Shadow Milk Cookie couldn't help but find amusement in Reader Cookie's comment, his twisted mind concocting the idea that they deserved a show just for them. He briefly imagined how the doll would be entertained by it too... but before he could muse any further, GingerBrave's voice cut through his thoughts.

GingerBrave: "What did you do to Pure Vanilla Cookie?! Bring him back!"

Shadow Milk Cookie smirked. "Or what? Now, now, you're in my domain! I can do whatever I please! But I've gotta admit, I loved your little show! Dangling about like broken marionettes—very entertaining! And especially you, doll~~"

Reader Cookie: "For you, maybe..."

Wizard Cookie: "Tell us where Pure Vanilla Cookie is, NOW!"

Shadow Milk Cookie: "Ah, ah, ah, not so fast! You must understand, I have no time to fight you—NOT YET! BUT! A little fooling around never hurt, right?"

And with a flick of his hand, he summoned a bizarre monster—a chaotic blend of magic tricks and jester antics. A white rabbit, a chess knight, a hand mirror, and jesters, all tangled in one maddening fusion.

Cue de music!

The battle was pure chaos. Reader Cookie's eyes lit up, their mischievous grin spreading as they manipulated the scene with their unpredictable magic, turning the fight into an absurd spectacle. The white rabbit, trapped inside its own hat, the chess knight tripping over a massive banana peel that appeared out of nowhere, and the jesters collapsing into one another in a heap—all at the mercy of Reader Cookie's cartoonish logic.

Laughter echoed from Reader Cookie, a wild, carefree sound that cut through the madness as they twisted reality with abandon. GingerBrave, Wizard Cookie, and Strawberry Cookie exchanged quick glances before charging in. They wouldn't let their friend down.

GingerBrave pressed forward, delivering swift strikes to keep the enemies at bay, while Wizard Cookie summoned calculated spells to neutralize the bigger threats. Strawberry Cookie, despite her nerves, kept a watchful eye, using her lollipop to block attacks, her quiet strength evident in the way she shielded them all.

Wizard Cookie, barely holding back his frustration, glanced at Reader Cookie. "I would say he's toying with us... but Reader Cookie, you're enjoying this way more than you should..."

Reader Cookie: "Heh... Sorry, I just got carried away... that's all... heh..."

GingerBrave, losing patience, shouted, "Stop this at once and fight us head-on!"

Shadow Milk Cookie, watching the spectacle unfold, couldn't hide the shift in his thoughts. This wasn't what he had expected. He thought they would struggle, that they would fight with desperation—but instead, they were treating the battle like a child's game. The ridiculousness of it all, especially Reader Cookie's antics, had him momentarily frozen. It was absurd, yet... amusing.

For the first time in ages, Shadow Milk Cookie felt a strange sensation. It was.... joy?

His eyes glinted as he brought a hand to his chin, a grin creeping across his face. This battle was not what he'd anticipated, but it was far more entertaining than he had ever imagined. Reader Cookie—a wild card, indeed.

Shadow Milk Cookie: "Oho! I must admit, you are... kinda brave! Pheh. And you, Reader Cookie, that was magnificent! Hah, that was great! I knew you'd be an interesting Cookie! BUT! Who am I if not a thoughtful host? Surprise! I've got a welcome gift for you all. Something you'll find very funny!"
