"DIE, YOU BASTARD!" the man roared, eyes blazing with a frantic mix of terror and fury, his face slick with cold sweat.

Before the tank could even raise his sword, a searing pain erupted all over his body, and his world flipped. His vision twisted, flipping upside down just in time to glimpse the horrified faces of the crowd staring back at him in shock and fear.

[Gummy_Bear: Jesus Christ! How many hits did he land just now? I could barely keep up!

OGPanda: His attacks are weak, so he's stacking them with insane speed!]

THUD.

Lolicon_Master's lifeless body fell to the ground. It was only in those final moments that he became painfully aware of his fate, the cold finality of his decapitation settling in before he, too, was consumed by the familiar column of light that had consumed the mercenaries.

Daisuke's eyes found their next target, and the man snarled fiercely, as if trying to subdue his own fear.

"Fool. You think I'll go down as easily as those pathetic mercenaries?" Jace scoffed, his confidence overflowing as he relied on his superior armor, weapons, and level. "You're fast, I'll give you that, but I see you; I've been able to follow your every move all this—"

Before the man could finish his bold claim, Daisuke activated both his Dash and Shadow Veil skill, completely vanishing from sight and sound.

Jace's jaw slackened in stunned disbelief. Flustered and wide-eyed, he scanned his surroundings frantically, his heart thundering in his chest, breaths ragged and uneven. Paranoia surged through him, clouding his thoughts as he unsheathed twin short swords with shaky hands, his every sense straining to pinpoint his invisible foe.

Suddenly, a presence. Before his eyes could even register the blur that materialized low to the ground, his instincts took over. With a wild, desperate swing, he brought his swords crashing downward, putting every ounce of strength into the strike.

But it was too late. The blur was just that—a blur. The dual blades gleamed as they mirrored Daisuke's form overhead, his body twisting mid-air with deadly grace, his daggers arching downward like a guillotine. In a flash, both of the captain's hands were severed, the once-gripped swords clattering uselessly to the ground.

"AHHHHHRGH!"

All traces of scorn drained from Jace's voice, replaced by agony and terror. Even as his body collapsed to the ground, ensnared by golden chains and wracked with the effects of Burn and Bleed debuffs, his gaze remained fixed on Daisuke, eyes wide with a twisted mixture of defiance and dread. The last flicker of his bravado played across his features like a dying spark as his killer slowly bent down to retrieve the dual blades beside his cold, decapitated hands.

"Idiot!" he laughed mockingly, a warped grin spreading across his face as blood splattered from the stumps of his arms. "Even noobs know that weapons are bound to their owners. Unless you kill me and they drop automatically, there's no way—"

The man's words faltered and died in his throat as Daisuke swiftly equipped the swords and lunged at the fleeing leader of the Men of Culture guild like a dark plague.

DING!

[GamerNerd101: Is it just me, or did Haxks just pick up another player's weapon like it was nothing? 🤯😵‍💫

SnarkyNoob: Tha' heck? Is that another one of his secret skills?

ThunderKat: I highly doubt it. Don't think that's a thing, period.

PixelBandit: This may be a stupid question, but is Haxks really a player? What if he's actually an NPC?

ByteMage: Now that you mention it...

LootGoblin: Yeah, but he did pull those daggers out of thin air earlier... 🧐

BringYuhPums: Sure, but dat's possible wid a magic bag as well.

GlitchGuru: Damn, the more we learn, the more confused we get. Who the hell is this guy?]

Death.

Bendova's face drained of color as what appeared to be the grim reaper bore down on him, golden eyes gleaming from the depths of its hood, promising nothing but oblivion.
