So, right after the whole cage thing, I’m sitting there, freaking out, still trying to figure out how the hell I ended up in this nightmare when, outta nowhere, one of the guys who’s been guarding me, like some kind of prison guard or whatever, shows up. Like, I didn’t even hear him coming. He just... appeared.
At first, I thought it was another one of those assholes who wanted to make things worse, but nah. He actually spoke to me. He was like, “Hey, calm down.” Calm down? Dude, I was in a cage, practically naked, and this was the first time I’d seen someone who wasn’t out to get me. But I don’t know, there was something different about him.
He had this soft tone in his voice, like he actually gave a damn, which was... weird. Most of these guys have been acting like I’m nothing but some piece of property to them. But this one? He looked like he wanted to help.
Honestly, I didn’t know whether to trust him or not. But he kept talking, telling me he could get me outta there, and I just... I couldn’t help it, I actually felt a little bit relieved.
For the first time, someone was offering help without asking for something in return. And the more he talked, the more I realized just how good-looking he was. Like, his eyes?
Damn. Blue. So blue, they almost looked unreal. Not even kidding, I was getting distracted by his eyes, which is probably not a good thing in my situation, but whatever. He was fine as hell.
I asked him, “What happened to... Adam? Or, Iven, whatever the hell his name is" The guy just shook his head, looking sorta pissed, but in that way that made him look even hotter. He said, “He’s in the hospital. Your heel did a real number on him.” Honestly, I didn’t even know a heel could cause that much damage, but I guess it did.
I couldn’t help but smile for a second. Yeah, I felt bad, but not really. He deserved it.
Anyway, back to this guy. He was still standing there, just looking at me, and it was like he was waiting for me to say something.
He was serious, though. He wasn’t joking around. He actually seemed like he wanted to get me out of this mess.
I didn’t know what to do. Trust him? I mean, he was clearly one of them, part of the whole operation, but something about him made me think he wasn’t the same as the others.
Could I trust him? I didn’t know. But at that point, what other choice did I have? He seemed like my only shot at getting outta this nightmare.
So yeah, I figured, why not? Let’s see if this “Prince Charming” actually keeps his word. But, seriously, this guy? He was the last person I expected to show up and save me.
