Pure Vanilla couldn't move—his mind was frozen, locked in shock as he processed the deception. The weight of false hope, the cruelty of it, left him momentarily paralyzed.
The monster struck—but before it could reach him, Apple Fairy Cookie dashed forward, her hammer swinging with swift precision. The impact sent the creature reeling back, buying enough time for the others to react.
Reader Cookie quickly unleashed a powerful binding spell, neutralizing the monster's movements as GingerBrave and Strawberry Cookie delivered the final blows, shattering it into nothingness.
Panting, the group turned to Apple Fairy Cookie, who was still standing protectively in front of Pure Vanilla, her small frame trembling slightly. "Don't dwell on what he said," she spoke softly with smile. "You only wanted to help"
When Apple fairy went ahead of them Reader Cookie let out a slow breath before offering a sincere nod in her way. "Thank you for protecting our friend."
Apple Fairy Cookie blinked in surprise looking their way, then looked away, her cheeks tinged with a faint blush. "I-It's nothing... I just did what I had to."
Reader Cookie smirked slightly. "That was impressive. You were fast—and you've got a strong arm with that apple hammer."
Apple Fairy Cookie looked even more flustered. "You really think so...?"
"Of course," Reader Cookie said. "And what you said to Pure Vanilla back there... telling him not to dwell on what was said to him—it's good advice. That's something I always tell him, too. But he's..." Reader Cookie exhaled, giving Pure Vanilla a side glance. "Too kind for his own good."
Apple Fairy Cookie gave a small giggle. "That's what makes him who he is, isn't it?"
The group stood in silence for a moment, the weight of the encounter settling in. The darkness around them felt heavier, more insidious than before.
Apple Fairy Cookie broke the silence, her voice light with giggles. "Come on, the Spire is nearby. We should keep moving."
They had survived another cruel jest from Shadow Milk Cookie, but the road ahead was still long—and filled with unknown horrors yet to come.

The journey had been long and fraught with challenges, but at last, they arrived at their destination.
"Oh, the very place you've all been waiting for! The famous Spire of All Knowledge!" Apple Fairy Cookie announced with a sweeping gesture.
Before them stood an ancient tower, its walls lined with endless shelves of books, scrolls, and tablets. The air shimmered with magic, the weight of untold knowledge pressing upon them.
However, before they could enter, a voice echoed through the grand entrance. "To enter the Spire, you must solve a riddle."
A regal-looking Cookie stepped forward—Towerkeeper Cookie. His presence was commanding, his deep-set eyes watching them with an unreadable expression.
"Listen well," he declared. "Once upon a time lived a king in a golden crown who knew not the day he was born. The king was kind and benevolent but lonely, for such was his role. One wore a golden crown; the other had eyes of a calm sea but a barren heart. Those silvery eyes always burned for a distant light. Then one day, the whole world turned dark, and all that was left was a gleaming shadow. What happened? What did the two say to each other?"
The group exchanged uncertain glances, trying to piece together the cryptic words. But three among them already knew the answer.
Reader Cookie, Pure Vanilla Cookie, and White Lily Cookie exchanged looks. Reader Cookie smirked to themselves, realizing that it would be far more entertaining to watch the two lovebirds answer. After all, they never seemed to catch on to how much they meant to each other.
