I Don't Feel Anything

I don't feel anything

When those words leave your lips.

I only feel lust

When we kiss.

I don't feel anything

When tears roll down your cheek.

And if I were to be with you

Your heart I would cheat.

You feel so much

And you confess to this feeling.

You speak of past hurts,

Tell me you need healing.

I would like to be

The one you need.

But I don't feel love

But understand it's not greed.

I am afraid of the things I feel.

So what do you say

We make a deal?

You will remain the way you are

And emotional I will stay

Distant and afar.

I don't feel anything

When we talk about you and me.

I don't know what I feel

Frustrated I will be.

Nichole was so focused and enchanted by a boy in school that she couldn't or should say wouldn't even give another boy a chance. God knows that I wish this wasn't the case. Who knows how different things may have been for her if she chose this boy.

I hope her words touch your heart. Thank you for reading Words A Mother Never Heard. If you are enjoying her poetry, please don't forget to vote.
