Chapter 8 Crew

Since Diego and Quartz weren't expecting Ana to join their crew it was strange and useful for the both of them to have another person with undercover experience could be beneficial for both Diego and Quartz whenever the mission involved sneaking past or keeping security busy. However all 3 of them arrived at El Coyote Cojo and decided to enjoy some Mexican food to relax after the gig "El Coyote Cojo is it good" Ana said asking both Diego and Quartz as Diego turned around smiling saying "You kidding they have some of the best Mexican food in this part of night city". Right as all three sat down and looked at the menu "Pepe tomaré lo de siempre (Pepe, I'll take the usual)" Diego said which Pepe gave him a nod with a smile "I'll take the number 5 with extra sauce" Quartz said as she held her stomach feeling if she should tell Diego that she is pregnant "With me just something warm like some soup" Anna said in her heavy polish accent looking at Pepe for a second then looking away "Si ella no está por aquí no es así Diego (Yes she's not around here, is she, Diego) Pepe said to Diego as Diego explained to Pepe in Spanish so he would explain it to him.

*A few minutes*

"So what was that about you know him" Anna said confused however Diego noticed as he said "Oh Pepe is like a cousin to me more like an older cousin his not used to new people coming here especially people who are from the corp". "Here is your special as usual amigo (friend) so what's with the girls it I don't mind" Pepe said as he also put down some food down on the table for them "They are my crew since you know I am a merc and I needed some help Quartz my netrunner and Anna my undercover person she has done undercover work before, but not with me" Diego said as he took a sip of his especial tequila. "Quartz *shakes Pepe's hand* the netrunner also the brains of the crew pleased to meet you Pepe" Quartz said as she quickly got up and headed to the bathroom "Anna the undercover work expert I'm originally from Poland, but moved to Night City for a job opportunity however it went south" Anna said her voice still nervous "Ahh I see hey Diego you know you and your crew are always welcome here they are like family also you should talk about Padre about that job you did for him" Pepe said to Diego as he returned back to the bar cleaning glasses.

"Diego yes what's with you and Quartz like what's your deal with her" Anna said as she started eating her food "Oh I saved Quartz from the Valentino's they are the street gang here it's best you leave them alone even if you look at them they can be unwelcoming" Diego said as he looked at the window seeing the city lights. "Oh I see however she doesn't look well she looks sick with something obviously not cyber-psychosis, but maybe something else" Anna said as she started eating her food as her eyes lit up and she smiled "This is delicious" Anna said excitedly "Wait you don't mean she's sick with something" Diego said nervously. "Diego I need to tell you something remember that night when we had to many to drink after that gig after that I ended up feeling sick and threw up" Quartz said as she sat down next to Anna "You have alcohol poisoning or maybe just sick with something I'm no doctor or ripper doc that could possibly be it maybe you should take your time eating your food here" Diego said as he took a sip of water.

*After eating their food they decided to talk about their lives*

"Oh I love this song my come on Quartz let's dance together" Diego said as he grabbed her hand and started to dance with the Latin music as Quartz followed his lead as everyone in El Coyote cojo started to chat Diego's name "Diego, Diego, Diego ahh ha" a few people said as Diego continued to show off. However Quartz stopped and got dizzy then decided to sit back down as Anna to ask her "Hey what's wrong Quartz" as Quartz looked at her "I've been trying to tell Diego something, but he just won't listen or just wrong place wrong time I'll just tell him when the time is right when I'm ready" she said as she drank some water to make her feel better. "Choom you don't mean your" Anna said as she was shushed by Quartz "Shh I don't want to ruin the surprise also I don't want no one else to know that's why I want you keep it a secret or else I'll make sure I hack your entire cyberware got it" she said with a serious face "Ok ok I'll keep quiet Quartz trust me" Anna said as she sat there keeping her mouth shut so she wouldn't let out Quartz secret. After a few minutes Diego sat down to drink some water as Mama welles came to the table and couldn't help, but smile at Diego.

"Diego you remind me so much of Jackie energetic always loved having fun it's sad that he's not here to see his cousin spending time here" Mama welles said as she poured water for everyone "Gracias tia (thank you auntie) Jackie was the life of the party also I taken V hasn't been seen since" Diego said with concerned. "Wait V the V top mercenary and also somewhat legend of the afterlife" Quartz said accidently spilling out her drink. "Ahora tengo que limpiar esto ahora, ay yay (Now I have to clean this up now, ay yay)" Mama welles said annoyed "It's ok tia I got it you just worry about your restaurant" Diego said as he quickly cleaned up the spill "Sorry Mama welles just got surprised that's all won't happen again" Quartz said. "It's best we get going we had a long day today" Anna said messing with her cyberware "Oh yeah well adios tia (bye auntie) *Diego hugs Mama welles*" Diego said as he paid for the tab "dziękuję za jedzenie (thank you for the food)" Anna said in polish causing Mama welles to smile a bit "Well take care hijo don't forget you and your friends are always here at El Coyote Cojo" Mama welles said as she headed back behind the bar to help Pepe clean the glasses once all three of them entered Diego's car and they drove off into night city to their homes to rest for another day of doing gigs.

(Sorry for the long delay of this chapter I've been a little under the weather lately however I'm feeling better now no it's not cyber-psychosis however I should be posting more chapters now however let me know what you like about my story and comment on what I should do next I'll leave it up for you chooms well later and have a good day in night city)
