chapter 16, tag team

I turn to Demetri, "Just because you couldn't put your ego aside. You cost our team a possible point."

He scowls at me but chooses to say nothing. Although we have both been in Miyagi Do for ages, we have never gotten along and after Robby left, our usual peace-maker, Sam had no choice but try to attempt to make us get along; which failed miserably.

Diego now swiftly tags in a girl called Maria to fight against Sam. She goes for an aggressive kick to Sam's waist which she rapidly avoids. She then goes for another kick which Sam fails to dodge.

Maria then attempts to kick Sam again which Sam successfully blocks. She then goes for a kick again. Sam quickly ducks. Sam manages to kick Maria's foot, causing her to trip up.

Sam then gets into her fighting stance, a specific stance that means she's about to perform amazingly. She then manages to score a point on Maria, causing the tally to be 1-1.

Maria then tags in a girl by the name of Blanca, Sam then doesn't hesitate to tag me in.

I then get into my defensive fighting stance and Blanca gets into an aggressive one.

Blanca tries to attack me with a series of punches that I easily dodge. I then catch her off guard with  a sweep and she stumbles onto the ground.

She then attempts to tag in a buff looking guy but I punch her hand away and aggressively strike her in the stomach, causing her to groan out in pain and for Miyagi-Do to gain a point, causing Miguel to cheer with our clear 2-1 advantage.

I then go to tag Hawk and which she then tags in the buff guy.

Hawk goes to kick the guy. But he reciprocates his kick with a violent punch that Hawk fails to dodge. Hawk goes to punch but the guy grabs his hand and then goes to punch Hawk himself.

It's a back and forth series of punching, dodging and then going to punch the other person. Then finally, the guy pushes Hawk back. Hawk then stumbles.

The guy then does a series of kicks that Hawk ducks. The fight is going so swift and fast that I fail to comprehend the moves.

Now, the guy is on the floor, growling at Hawk.

"Hawk, tag me in." Kenny yells.

"Hawk, tag in Kenny!" Sam demands.

Demetri is doing hand gestures to Hawk, signalling don't. I then proceed to strike Demetri in the arm, "What's wrong with you? Do you want us to lose? If anything, you're the one teaming up with Silver."

"Shut up, Kiara."

"Are you allergic to wanting to win, Demetri?"

Miguel then gets in the middle of us and pushes Demetri back slightly, "Guys stop.", looking at both of us.

"Hawk. What are you doing? Tag in Kenny." Robby shouts with clear exasperation in his voice

"Come on!" Kenny clenches his jaw.

The guy slowly moves over to Hawk and he tags in Robby.

"What are you doing?" Robby replies, taken off guard and a bit lost, turning around frantically. The guy takes advantage of this, landing a kick and punch duo and scoring a point.

The guy then tags in another boy, who seems to be fighting extremely aggressive to which Robby can't keep up.

"Robby." Miguel lends his hand.

Robby goes to tag Miguel's hand, but then gets brutally kicked by the boy. Robby attempts to defend. But the guy then lands yet another kick and strikes a point, making Furia De Pantera win 3-2.

"Furia De Pantera with an impressive victory. Miyagi Do's loss puts them on the verge of elimination after their first match." The announcer shouts.

"Eli, why didn't you tag in Kenny when you had the chance?" Miguel reprimands.

"He just got here. You expect us to trust him?" Hawk defends.

"Trust me to what? Not get my ass kicked like you and Demetri?" I then snicker to Kenny's response.

"Like you'd do any better against Spanish Hawk. You completely disappeared after the Shittening. And then you coincidentally come back the same time as Silver. You really wanna tag in a mole?"

"Demetri, shut the hell up. He came back the same time as Silver because Miguel and Johnny went home but came back, ring a bell dumbass?" I ridicule him.

"Are you serious? I fly here to help us win, and you won't even give me a chance? Everyone laughed at me in the woods, but somehow, I'm the bad guy?"

"He's still pissed. It makes sense he'd want revenge." Hawk interrupts.

"He's pissed because you guys won't even bother to let him fight." I state.

Kenny and Hawk get into each other's faces, murmuring some insults to each other.

"Hey! This isn't about Kenny. I'm the one who lost the match. Me." Robby pushes them both back, then walks away.

"Wouldn't of lost if Hawk and Demetri actually used their brain." I scoff then I also storm away in frustration.
