The palm trees rocked to the gusty rhythm in the night sky.
I then take off my jacket and chuck it onto the sand, not caring about whether or not sand gets trapped inside. I then dash into the soothing water full of excitement, although my joy quickly fades when I realise how truly freezing the water is.
"Are you not going to wait for me?" Kwon shouts, carefully taking off his jacket and laying it on the sand, he's wearing a tight black shirt that shows the outline of his biceps.
Damn.
Kwon then slowly walks over to the water, his face expression not changing at all, even when his body sinks deeper into the water.
"Are you not dying right now because of the temperature?" I frantically chatter my teeth.
"No, back in South Korea in my dojo, we've endured many things as ice baths, this is nothing." He smiles, a sarcastic egoistical look in his eyes.
"Ice baths, walking on hot coals, climbing up mountains and many other intensive excerises." He adds proudly.
"Oh damn, the most I've done is probably just cleaning a car, painting a fence. Nothing too severe."
"Cleaning a car? Painting a fence? What is your dojo teaching you?" A look of bewilderment and confusion crossed his face while he strokes his chin.
"It's a muscle memory thing. I don't think you would understand that." I roll my eyes.
"That's ridiculous. My dojo isn't soft like that."
"Miyagi Do isn't soft, it's just built on defence and balance. Anyway, enough karate talk, please."
"So, what do you want to talk about?"
"We don't need to do any talking." I stare at him enticingly, flashing a smile.
"What? What do you mean by that?" He stutters and his cheeks turn a tint of rosy pink, avoiding my enticing gaze.
"Splashing each other with water silly, what did you think I meant?" My stare goes from alluring to gleeful as I begin to start kicking water at him.
"Oh uh, don't worry."
I flash him a weird but puzzled look, wondering what he could've meant, as he reciprocates my splashing water act.
"Ah, there's a bunch of water in my eyes." I begin to shield my face with my hands while I rub my eyes.
"Are you okay?" Kwon immediately stops splashing water at me then goes over to me to attempt to rub water out of my eye.
I immediately beam at his gesture and focus my gaze on him, he gazes into my eyes with that look. The look that gives me butterflies in my stomach and that makes my stomach do swirls and makes it churn. The look that I believe if I was in agony and dying, would immediately ease and heal the pain like it's nothing. The look he gives me gives me a feeling that no amount of words will do justice to.
I then go to splash him again, "I was fine but I just said that so I could splash more into your eyes."
"Oh you wanna play that game?" He then proceeds to tackle me into the shallow waves, causing me to let out a few giggles, I'm now completely covered in gritty sand and my hair is soaked to which I groan.
He then offers me a hand to help me get up and smiles in such an adorable way that I can't even be mad. I then grab his hand and pull him into the ocean, his fall causing several vibrations of waves and he immediately chuckles at my act, causing me to reciprocate his laugh with a chortle.
