"Thank you." I smile out of politeness.
"You didn't do so bad yourself." I add, with a sense of joking cockiness.
"I could take you on mat any day." He walks over closer to me, close enough to feel his breath on my neck.
"Oh yeah?" I take a step closer to him, now our faces are barely an inch away.
"Yeah." He takes another step closer to me and his gaze flickered to my lips.
I closed the distance, kissing him with a sense of passion and hunger. In this moment, I completely forgot about what Hawk and Miguel said about leading him on or whatever, but I didn't care. I have been wanting to kiss him for so long. He put his hands on my waist and pulled me closer.
I wrapped my arms around his head and pushed him closer to me. I completely forgot I had to come back to the arena, the moment his lips touched mine it was like the world had stopped and nothing else mattered.
I pull away,
"We should probably go back to uhm the arena now." I stutter, while struggling to look at him properly.
"Why not?" He replies, his glance lingering on me. His hands are still on my waist and my stomach is doing the back flip thing.
"Yeah, uhm, bye!" I awkwardly smile and walk off with my water bottle. I quickly dash and rush over to Sam and sit next to her, to see Miguel and his opponent fighting.
"Sam. Sam. Sam." I blurt out.
"What's up?" She turns to me, with a raised eyebrow and visible confusion.
"I kissed Kwon." I blurted.
"WHAT?" Her face expression changes as soon as I blink, her jaw drops and her eyes are widened. She silently yells, catching Robby's attention.
"What happened?" Robby politely asks, calm snd collected.
"I kissed Kwon." I grit my teeth with a forced smile, my eyes quickly darting around the room.
"WHAT?" He also coincidentally silently yells, his eyes revealing confusion and some kind of anger.
"Shut up! Before anyone else hears you guys."
"I could always kinda tell. You guys have that chemistry." Sam replies, with her arms crossed, proudly smirking.
"I'd be mad, but honestly I also saw it coming. I interrupted their nearly kiss earlier." Robby adds.
"You guys nearly kissed and you didn't think to tell your best friend? I'm offended." Sam chuckles.
"It was literally right before Hawk and Miguel said all that stuff to me, I couldn't." I roll my eyes.
"Anyway, how'd the kiss happen?" Robby inquires, returning back to his calm self.
"Yeah, we wanna know." Sam eagerly says.
"Well, I did actually go out to take a breather and he must've followed me, he said I did good in my match, I said thank you and said I guess you did good to, in a jokey cocky way not in an actually cocky way-"
"Get to the details!" Robby blurts eagerly.
"Okay fine, well basically we were flirty trash talking and we kept getting closer to each other and well I kissed him. He's a very good kisser." I smiled smugly.
"Ew!" Robby and Sam say in unison while they both turn to look at each other, both having a repulsed look on their faces. I burst out in a cackle of laughter.
We then notice Miguel victoriously walk over to us. I stand up and so does Sam, Sam immediately gives him a hug.
I pat him on the back, flashing an awkward smile, not wanting to hug him because I don't wanna make Sam uncomfortable.
"You won your game huh? Im sorry I wasn't there to see it all, at least that makes two of us." I smile.
"It's fine, don't worry about it and yes it does." Miguel replies and high-fives me, with his other arm wrapped around Sam.
He then walks over to Sensei Lawrence and asks him,
"Sensei, did you see that?" He exclaims excitedly with a big grin on his face.
"Yeah, I did but theres no point now. We're still terribly losing with two wins." Sensei Lawrence replies, with his arms crossed.
"Seriously?" Miguel scoffs and walks off, his smile immediately dropping from his face, turning to vexation.
"Don't worry, he said the same kinda thing to me earlier." I give an awkward smile and pat him on the back again.
He returns the awkward smile and mouths, "Thank you Kiara." and walks away.
