It was nearly dawn, the air was crisp and cold. On the bridge connecting West Elizabeth and New Hanover. A gang of gunman, six men strong standing by with a wagon blocking the crossing to the other side, all armed to the teeth as they awaited their. The lean man leading the posse was smoking whilst leaning on the wagon's wheel tensed to his knee, feeling where a bullet had punctured the plating years ago from his arch nemesis.
Liam O'Malley with his group of O'Driscolls all stood by, waiting for hours as they waited for Ike Skelding to deliver both the Red Wolf and Mary-Beth Gaskill before him. Then Frank walked up to Liam with a heavy sigh.
"Colm's gonna hear about this." Frank stated putting out his cigarette, dropping before stepping on it.
"Yes, and he might put me in his favours again." Liam replied back with a uncaring hum, before pulling out his silver Schofield to clean. "Course as long as Ike delivers on his promises."
In he sighed to himself, knowing that after all this time he could finally end the entire blood feud between him and Robert could end this night. All of the bloodshed between each other and it could all end soon and by his hands. His brother would be avenged as he saw it...though he couldn't look back no more after this night. Cause if he did, he knew fate would have it's way with him...
Then Austin walked up to Liam and Frank with his arms crossed with a sinister snarling smirk on him. "You know, I do want the whore for me and me only. But I wouldn't mind putting a bullet between Reznov's eyes me-self."
A sharp intense glare was upon him as Liam grimaced to him, standing upright holstering his gun. "I'll be the one to kill him Austin not you not Colm. It's between me and him."
To which Austin scoffed, purely bewildered at his friend's insistence despite the obviousness of Colm's wrath. "Considering all the trouble and he nearly killed and the boss back at Ashmore Manor slaughter. I reckon the honours should go to him. Besides the posters did say dead or alive eh?"
"No!" Liam yelled pushing Austin back harshly, glaring right at him. "He's mine!"
That brought everyone else's attention, the usual clam and collected lone shark lashing out was unusual especially towards Austin of all people. Very few knew of Liam's violent tendencies as both Frank and Austin knew of. As Austin backed away nodding, but subtly sneered away from the act.
"Hey, O'Malley! We got riders coming in." One of the men called, looking through his binoculars. To which everyone stood to attention with their rifles, shotguns and revolvers out.
Liam walked to the front of the line with his arms crossed. Though as soon as he took notice down the road, he squinted confused, only seeing three riders heading right down the road. And Ike was not amongst the riders, despite knowing they were his men. But worst of all in his sight, there was no Robert nor Mary-Beth with them neither.
He paced forwards to the riders as they were dismounting with Austin and Frank standing by on opposite sides.
"Well? Where the fuck are they?" Liam scowled angrily then noticed amongst the group, who all had powder burns over their clothing and the intense sweating, as if a shootout had just happened as Liam pressed on. "And where the fuck is Ike Skelding?!"
"You!" The leading surviving hunter, Dylan grimaced pointing at Liam. " You, Irish shit pig!" The hunter yelled.
"I beg your pardon?" Liam scoffed almost eager to draw on that insult.
"You, lied to us, you scammed us you high-chinned, skinny, leathered bastard! Didn't tell us the woman was a killer! Ike's dead because of her and because of you! Our boys are dead cause you neglected to say the Yellow Wolf was in the region too! You think you'd taken us for fools?! HA!"
