Chapter 6

I wake up without any alarm clock noise, must be Sunday, yes! I look at my clock, Sunday, 9:15 a.m. Trinity, Michael, and I have agreed to hang out at the local restaurant, only a few minutes from here, at 1:00. I take my time getting out of bed and put on some clothes and do the usual things.

I walk downstairs and see Mom and Dad sitting on the couch talking to each other, they see me walk in.

"Hey James." Dad says

"Good morning."

Dad looks at Mom then at me, "Well, I ought to go, by guys." He only works on Sundays now, he is one of the highest people in his job.

He walks out and it's just Mom and me. I walk over to the couch.

"Mom."

"Yes honey?" We haven't spoken to each other since Thursday

"I want to let you know, that, that I'm sorry, I shouldn't have snapped like that." I say

She looks at me for a second, "Honey, I understand, it's okay. Your dad and I were just talking about that, and I did realize that I was a bit blind sighted to the facts."

She gets up and hugs me, I feel a lot better, that pressure of forgiving her was released. 

We sit back on the couch and actually talk to each other.

"So, I'm really sorry you aren't getting any money, has anyone done anything yet?" Mom asked

I respond, "No, actually, I feel like there is gonna be a revolt of some sort soon though."

Chloe hasn't talked to me about it yet, odd. 

"Well, all I have to say is, don't get hurt." Mom says, laughing

I laugh with her.

"I haven't seen Trinity and Michael for quite a while, how are they?" Mom asks me

"They are pretty good, we're actually hanging out at the Cafe later today." I tell her

"The one a few block down?" Mom asks me

"Yeah, hopefully it'll be fun..haha" I say

"I bet it will be, they're nice kids." Mom says

"I'm gonna go make us some breakfast, any requests?" Mom asks

"No, as long as it's food." I tell her, chuckling

I turn on the T.V. and start watching some kinda Soap Opera thing, I really don't even pay attention because of how stupid it is.

About ten minutes later Mom tells me the food is ready. I get up and see she made pancakes.

"Hopefully they're good." Mom says, smiling

"I bet they are." I tell her

I take a bite and it's sweet, and really good.

"Wow, this is really good."

"Thanks, I know, I really wasn't expecting it to be this good haha." Mom says

I check the time and see it's 12:30.

"Well, I should leave now." I tell Mom

"Okay, be safe, have fun!" She says

"Thanks."

I open the door, and grab my bike, then shut the door. I make my way down to the Cafe. About fifteen minutes later, I arrive. I see Trinity and Michael waiting for me.
